Synopsis Restore Elder Pride by : Jerry Rhoads
In 2006, seventy-seven million baby boomerspeople who worked hard all their liveswill begin to turn sixty. They have a right to expect the best of everything, but if the nursing home industry doesnt change dramatically and soon, they can only expect the worst. Today, nearly two million people are institutionalized in nursing homes, and millions more will face the possibility of one day joining the ranks of system victims. Every American has a personal, vested interest in shifting the paradigm of a struggling industry that is on the verge of collapse and that ends patients lives prematurely. Author and CPA Jerry L. Rhoads is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators fellow, a licensed nursing home administrator, and the CEO of All-American Care, Inc. In Restore Elder Pride, he shares an educated insiders look at a system in crisisand how each person can be a part of the solution. He outlines the three prevailing principles that make this problem solvable: Embrace the restorative care model as a necessary transition between the current medical and social models. Use computer technology and case management to customize care plans for each patient in order to manage interventions for positive outcomes. Pay for performance based on outcomes attained. He calls his approach restorative care, and that involves changing the approach to elder care to embrace more humane and productive outcomes. By restoring function of the mind, body, emotion, and spirit, Rhoads believes that the industry can be saved.

Synopsis The Ninth Wonder of the World by : Jerry L. Rhoads
The Eighth Wonder is the first poem and the theme for my first poetry book. I reveal in that poem what the eighth wonder is and its value to each person on earth. I dont want it revealed until they read that first poem and hopefully will use that eighth wonder to find the other wonders of the world, then read the rest of The Ninth Wonder of the World exercising their eighth wonder. Poetry is so personal it is hard to convince readers to take the time to feel the words not just read them. The Eighth Wonder of the World presents something we all possess and dont realize its value. So for this second book to resonate with the buyer/reader, a love of poetry will initially be the reason it sells. After that, it will be the value to each reader as they capitalize on the eighth wonder we all possess.

Synopsis The Twelfth Wonder of the World by : Jerry L. Rhoads
Poetry is so personal. It is hard to convince readers to take the time to feel the words, not just read them. The Eighth Wonder of the World presents something we all possess and don’t realize its value. So for this fifth book, The Twelfth Wonder of the World, to resonate with the buyer/reader, a love of poetry will initially be the reason it sells. After that, it will be the value to each reader as they capitalize on the wonders we all possess. The series of Wonders of the World poems are to relate all humans on Earth to a common denominator. The mind (eight wonder) and the soul (ninth wonder) are our human metaphysical commonalties, whereas the heart (tenth wonder) and the brain (the eleventh wonder) are physical commonalities to all of us as individuals. And finally, the spirit (twelfth wonder), our infinite energy, is what each of us are metaphysically, for the infinite trip from here to there, the final wonder.

Synopsis Proud Raven, Panting Wolf by : Emily L. Moore
Among Southeast Alaska’s best-known tourist attractions are its totem parks, showcases for monumental wood sculptures by Tlingit and Haida artists. Although the art form is centuries old, the parks date back only to the waning years of the Great Depression, when the US government reversed its policy of suppressing Native practices and began to pay Tlingit and Haida communities to restore older totem poles and move them from ancestral villages into parks designed for tourists. Dramatically altering the patronage and display of historic Tlingit and Haida crests, this New Deal restoration project had two key aims: to provide economic aid to Native people during the Depression and to recast their traditional art as part of America’s heritage. Less evident is why Haida and Tlingit people agreed to lend their crest monuments to tourist attractions at a time when they were battling the US Forest Service for control of their traditional lands and resources. Drawing on interviews and government records, as well as on the histories represented by the totem poles themselves, Emily Moore shows how Tlingit and Haida leaders were able to channel the New Deal promotion of Native art as national art into an assertion of their cultural and political rights. Just as they had for centuries, the poles affirmed the ancestral ties of Haida and Tlingit lineages to their lands. Synopsis Ladder to the Light by : Steven Charleston
Darkness will not last forever. Together we can climb toward the light. They were as troubled as we, our ancestors, those who came before us, and all for the very same reasons: fear of illness, a broken heart, fights in the family, the threat of another war. Corrupt politicians walked their stage, and natural disasters appeared without warning. And yet they came through, carrying us within them, through the grief and struggle, through the personal pain and the public chaos, finding their way with love and faith, not giving in to despair but walking upright until their last step was taken. My culture does not honor the ancestors as a quaint spirituality of the past but as a living source of strength for the present. They did it and so will we. In the same voice that has comforted and challenged countless readers through his daily social media posts, Choctaw elder and Episcopal priest Steven Charleston offers words of hard-won hope, rooted in daily conversations with the Spirit and steeped in Indigenous wisdom. Every day Charleston spends time in prayer. Every day he writes down what he hears from the Spirit. In Ladder to the Light he shares what he has heard with the rest of us and adds thoughtful reflection to help guide us to the light Native America knows something about cultivating resilience and resisting darkness. For all who yearn for hope, Ladder to the Light is a book of comfort, truth, and challenge in a time of anguish and fear.

Synopsis Satan's Strategy to Curse Christ's Congregation by : Dr. Keith A. Sherlin
Dr. Sherlin has worked diligently to show the importance of elder rule. What he has done is restore us to sound principles that come straight from the Bible. His book is a must for every assembly that wants to remain strong rather than go the way of the culture. I cannot recommend his book enough. -- Dr. Mal Couch In this work, the author sets out the biblical case for congregations being ruled by a plurality of Godly men, known as elders. This work is meticulously footnoted and documented making it an invaluable resource for the layman and scholar alike. -- Dr. Andy Woods Keith writes in a manner that is precise and with a fluidity of understanding of current day church leadership. The tone of his writing is shared in love and there are no judgmental undertones that permeate his thoughts. I would wholly recommend this reading to all who profess Christ as their Lord. -- Pamela Rogers Dr. Keith has presented a solid case for authoritative leadership in the church. His book is a call for us to return to biblical leadership and be presbyters instead of politicians. -- Dr. C.V. Varnado Do you believe that your local assembly is full of conflict, confusion, and/or compromise? Are you familiar with the strategy of Satan and his methods to undermine the grace, love, and truth of Christ's body? This work makes a clear and convincing case that many problems in congregations occur because the body has adopted a flawed foundation of church government and doctrine that is more political than biblical. How much or to what degree has Satan made inroads into your spiritual family and leadership body? Read and judge for yourself and if necessary seek to apply the prescribed remedy to the problem.
