Synopsis Rare Treasure by : Don Brown
Before the word dinosaur was even invented, an English girl discovered a remarkable skeleton on the rocky beach at Lyme Regis. Thus began a lifelong passion for the woman who became one of the first commercial fossil collectors. Mary Anning (1799–1847) spent her lifetime teaching herself about fossils and combing the rugged shore for ancient treasures. Her collection thrilled the public, excited the scientific community, and proved that a woman could overcome danger and social limitations to accomplish great things.

Synopsis Rare Treasure of Destiny by : Stan Conely
No one can argue that our world is not in crisis. Most anyone could easily provide a laundry list of defective traits and characteristics within any community to prove this point. But identifying problems is a far cry from solving them; and the sheer volume of opinions and ideas concerning how to fix or even improve our global woes have left far too many people confused and disheartened in their search for answers. Rare Treasure of Destiny is the much-anticipated first installment of the inspirational series Medication for the Nations where the brilliantly convincing case is made that Jesus Himself offers some of the most dynamic and practical anecdotes for society's problems in a very unique biblical passage found in the book of Revelation. By carefully exploring this text of seven diverse church communities, Christian theologians Stan Conely and Tommie Howard creatively show how Christ's assessment of these congregations can be used to assist us with correcting age-old ills of the human condition with spiritual measures. Providing a refreshing injection of confidence for all who seek to exist beyond spiritual mediocrity, this series will inspire and cultivate a strong, intimate, service-centered relationship with the Creator.

Synopsis The Secret by : Byron Preiss
The tale begins over three-hundred years ago, when the Fair People—the goblins, fairies, dragons, and other fabled and fantastic creatures of a dozen lands—fled the Old World for the New, seeking haven from the ways of Man. With them came their precious jewels: diamonds, rubies, emeralds, pearls... But then the Fair People vanished, taking with them their twelve fabulous treasures. And they remained hidden until now... Across North America, these twelve treasures, over ten-thousand dollars in precious jewels, are buried. The key to finding each can be found within the twelve full color paintings and verses of The Secret. Yet The Secret is much more than that. At long last, you can learn not only the whereabouts of the Fair People's treasure, but also the modern forms and hiding places of their descendants: the Toll Trolls, Maitre D'eamons, Elf Alphas, Tupperwerewolves, Freudian Sylphs, Culture Vultures, West Ghosts and other delightful creatures in the world around us. The Secret is a field guide to them all. Many "armchair treasure hunt" books have been published over the years, most notably Masquerade (1979) by British artist Kit Williams. Masquerade promised a jewel-encrusted golden hare to the first person to unravel the riddle that Williams cleverly hid in his art. In 1982, while everyone in Britain was still madly digging up hedgerows and pastures in search of the golden hare, The Secret: A Treasure Hunt was published in America. The previous year, author and publisher Byron Preiss had traveled to 12 locations in the continental U.S. (and possibly Canada) to secretly bury a dozen ceramic casques. Each casque contained a small key that could be redeemed for one of 12 jewels Preiss kept in a safe deposit box in New York. The key to finding the casques was to match one of 12 paintings to one of 12 poetic verses, solve the resulting riddle, and start digging. Since 1982, only two of the 12 casques have been recovered. The first was located in Grant Park, Chicago, in 1984 by a group of students. The second was unearthed in 2004 in Cleveland by two members of the Quest4Treasure forum. Preiss was killed in an auto accident in the summer of 2005, but the hunt for his casques continues.

Synopsis Trove by : Sandra A. Miller
• Gold-medal winner of the Nautilus Book Award for memoir (2020) • Gold-medal winner of the National Indie Excellence Award for memoir (2020) • Featured on Moms Don't Have Time to Read Books podcast. (2020) "A stirring memoir that beautifully and humorously captures the pain of unresolved loss.” — Kirkus Reviews The true story of a woman whose life is up-ended when she begins an armchair treasure hunt—a search for $10,000 worth of gold coins buried in New York City, of all places—with a man who, as she points out, is not her husband. In this eloquent, hilarious, sharply realized memoir, Sandra A. Miller grapples with the death of her difficult mother and the regret and confusion that so often accompanies middle age. In a very real way, Miller has spent her life hunting for buried treasure. As a child, she trained herself to find things: dropped hair clips, shiny bits of broken glass, discarded lighters. Looking to escape from her volatile parents and often-unhappy childhood, Miller found deeper meaning, and a good deal of hope, in each of these objects. Now an adult and facing the loss of her last living parent—her mother who is at once cold, difficult, and wildly funny—Miller finds herself, as she so often did as a little girl, pressed against a wall of her own longing. Her search for gold, which soon becomes an obsession, forces her to dredge up painful pieces of her past, confront the true source of her sorrow, and finally discover what it is she has been looking for all these years. "Trove is the treasure. It's the kind of story that gives you a new best friend in a narrator. Your get to travel with her on an emotional journey with laughs and tears. I am happy to be shut in with this wonderful story that has taken me to so many places." — Meredith Goldstein, advice columnist and entertainment reporter for The Boston Globe.
