Synopsis Practical Lessons in Endodontic Surgery by : Donald E. Arens
As a supplement to the book with the same title, these two videos present fourteen case studies of endodontic surgeries. The surgical procedures and techniques explained in detail in the book are shown here step-by-step and performed on each tooth type. The videos begin with simple maxillary procedures and move to more complex surgeries. The cases are surgical retreatments of conditions unsuccessfully treated with conventional endodontic therapy. Shown are techniques in performing incision and drainage, root amputation, hemisection, extraction and replantation, retrograde root canal therapy, and repair of root perforations surgically and nonsurgically. Guided tissue regeneration procedures are performed on the maxillary and mandibular molars. These videos were produced in conjunction with Loma Linda University School of Dentistry Continuing Education Department.

Synopsis Practical Lessons in Endodontic Treatment by : Donald E. Arens
Offers expert guidance to clinicians who have limited experience in the nonsurgical procedures involved in root canal therapy. Synthesizing the very latest clinical concepts and technologies with tried-and-true traditional treatment methods, it introduces readers to the challenges associated with nonsurgical endodontics and delivers realistic solutions in a clear, step-by-step, "lesson-based" format. Offers useful, workable, and, above all, practical information and recommendations covering a specific aspect of endodontic care. Readers expand their knowledge incrementally, beginning with the essentials of patient diagnosis, examination, and record-keeping and progressing through lessons concerned with treatment planning and preparation for therapy; root canal instrumentation and obturation; and emergency and adjunctive procedures. Synopsis Minimally Invasive Approaches in Endodontic Practice by : Gianluca Plotino
This book describes the latest minimally invasive approaches in endodontics and explains the principles that guide them. The advantages and limitations of these approaches are critically analyzed with the intention of defining new endodontic gold standards. The trend toward the use of more conservative procedures within endodontics reflects the wider adoption of minimally invasive dentistry in general and is being fostered by the introduction of new materials, devices, instruments, and techniques as well as the use of magnification and advanced three-dimensional diagnostic imaging technologies. In this book, readers will find clear explanation of these advances and their impacts. Minimally invasive access to the root canal system is described, and detailed attention is devoted to the application of novel strategies in root canal instrumentation and disinfection, root canal filling, coronal restoration, retreatment, and endodontic surgery. Minimally invasive alternatives to complete endodontic treatment, such as vital pulp therapies, and to dental extraction and implant placement, including surgical extrusion, intentional replantation, and tooth autotransplantation, are also discussed. Minimally Invasive Approaches in Endodontic Practice will be of value for endodontists at all levels of experience.

Synopsis Non surgical endodontic retreatment by : Dr. Samra Shafique
This book is intended for the general practitioner with a special interest in endodontics, students undergoing specialist training and specialists alike. Endodontic retreatment poses many practical challenges. Advances in scientific knowledge and the integration of operating microscopes into endodontic practice have seen the possibilities for predictable endodontic treatment and retreatment expand dramatically. Advanced Endodontics: Clinical Retreatment describes many of the techniques and methods available for practitioners who wish to undertake the planning and treatment of complex endodontic retreatment. The text is referenced to provide a comprehensive but discreet source of scientific evidence, principles and further reading. Knowledge and theory are important in managing complex endodontic retreatment cases, but cannot be a substitute for essential practical and clinical experience. These skills need to be learned and practiced. Novices should always start with the simplest cases and never proceed beyond their confidence or skill level. Numerous practical courses are available for instruction on retreatment techniques and attendance on them can only be encouraged.
