Synopsis Ignite Your Inner Light by : Helen Russo
I have always felt in my heart, yes, we can have it all. I didn't grow up in a religious environment, so I was given the freedom to seek my own spiritual journey. Everything opened up for me, after receiving ‘a gift’ during an angelic visitation, which occurred on January 11, 2011 at 1:00 a.m. Love all the ones ... angels! It just so happens to be my stepfather’s birthday. (He passed over November 7, 2006). I began writing poetry with ease, something that, in the past, has never been a forte of mine. It has taken me just over a year to work out exactly what this gift is, and I am now helping others to heal, transmuting their negative energy and giving them the self-empowerment to transform their lives and live in joy. I am in the process of writing a book about this experience, the events leading up to this and what has transpired since. This experience has changed my life. I find myself saying, this is the best I have felt in my whole life. All I can say is, blessings to God for answering my prayers, I am grateful.

Synopsis Acrobat by : Nabaneeta Dev Sen
A deeply humane new collection by a luminary of Bengali literature A radiant collection of poetry about womanhood, intimacy, and the body politic that together evokes the arc of an ordinary life. Nabaneeta Dev Sen's rhythmic lines explore the joys and agonies of first love, childbirth, and decay with a restless, tactile imagination, both picking apart and celebrating the rituals that make us human. When she warns, "know that blood can be easily drawn by lips," her words tune to the fierce and biting depths of language, to the "treachery that lingers on tongue tips." At once compassionate and unsparing, conversational and symphonic, these poems tell of a rope shivering beneath an acrobat's nimble feet or of a twisted, blood-soaked umbilical cord -- they pluck the invisible threads that bind us together.

Synopsis Journey of the Heart by : Catherine Ghosh
This book has woven together the voices of over seventy women of diverse ethnicities and traditions. In meditative and insightful poems, they offer us revealing glimpses of their souls engaged in meaningful dialogue with the world, others, themselves, and divinity. This spiritual poetry draws from the timeless wisdom, power, and beauty residing deeply within the hearts of all women. Emerging within archetypal themes that deliver valuable messages, the inspiring and uninhibited chorus of voices beckons us to journey along with them into the wild, mysterious, and uncharted territory of a womans heart. In this beautiful volume of poetry, Catherine Ghosh gives us the voices of womens spiritual expressions across cultures. The many women who contribute their hopes, fears, visions, and life narratives to this volume fulfill the poet Muriel Rukeysers injunction: Breathe in experience, breathe out poetry. Every woman (and man) will find poetry that speaks to the heart and the soul. I highly recommend this volume to anyone who values the poetry of womens lives and imaginations. Roberta Rosenberg, Professor of English and Co-Director of Womens and Gender Studies, Christopher Newport University, Virginia This beautiful book of verses speaks of the longings of the heart, the habits of the mind, the prayers often unspoken; of silent cries in the dark to God, to the universe, to life itselfto anyone who may listen and be moved. It is an ode to the muzzled yearnings of half of humanity. Rita D. Sherma, PhD, Swami Vivekananda Visiting Professor, University of Southern California

Synopsis I Will Not Die an Unlived Life by : Dawna Markova
The author and psychotherapist shares her journey of illness and recovery in this inspiring guide to living your life to the fullest. In I Will Not Die an Unlived Life, Dawna Markova recounts her incredible journey from being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness to finding deeper meaning in her life. Along the way, she guides readers toward discovering their own sense of value and purpose. When we feel lost, Markova points out, we can either continue to live habitual lives and resign our strength—or we can choose to follow our passions. Many of us have times of feeling stagnant and sapped of energy. Rather than judging these moments negatively, Dr. Markova reframes them as periods of rest for our passions. In doing so, she challenges us to slow down and stay in touch with ourselves. Poetic and inspiring, I Will Not Die an Unlived Life is a powerful reminder that it is never too late to live your life.

Synopsis Ignite by : Kevin Spenst
Poetry. A finalist for the Alfred G. Bailey Prize, IGNITE is a collection of elegiac and experimental poetry powder- kegged with questions about one man's lifelong struggle with schizophrenia. Born into a strict Mennonite family, Abe Spenst's mental illness spanned three decades in and out of mental institutions where he underwent electric shock treatment and coma-induced insulin therapy. Merging memory and medical records, Kevin Spenst recreates his father's life through a cuckoo's nest of styles that both stand as witness and waltz to the interplay between memory, emotion and all our forms of becoming. ..".with a fearless layering of voice, IGNITE is upfront and unswerving. A novel- esque torrent tracing a troubling history of illness, part confrontation and part chronicle, this collection is daring with its dark narrative. Here is a willingness for, and enviable strength in, extending poetic range. Ignite heals and ascends. There are books that need to be written and this is one of them. This is a collection which gives more and more with every read." Sandra Ridley, judge, Alfred G. Bailey Prize A selection of poems from IGNITE won the Lush Triumphant Award for Poetry."

Synopsis Ignite the Light by : Vicki Savini
A practical step-by-step manual for educating, enlightening and empowering children to be their best selves In today’s society kids hardly get to enjoy their childhood, as they are faced with mounting pressures at school, within their family, and among their peers. Children are overexposed to violence and deprived of lessons on self-love and inner peace . . . but imagine a world where they are given tools to speak their truth, follow their hearts, and above all believe in themselves. You see, deep inside every one of us is a light that shines brightly when we are aligned with our higher self—our absolute best self. When we allow fear to drive our action, we dim that light within. Yet when we believe in ourselves, speak our truth, and do what feels right in our hearts, we ignite the light and become the best possible version of ourselves. Whether you are a parent, a teacher, a child-care worker, or just a person who would like to leave this world a little more peaceful than you found it, this book will give you the tools to educate, enlighten, and empower our children to see that they are perfect just as they are. Ignite the Light is a practical step-by-step manual for change that provides tools from which all children—and all families—will benefit.
