The agrochemical formulations and delivery systems industry is evolving due to new standards required by growing demand for safer and more convenient products by consumers, regulatory agencies, and producers, plus pesticide manufactures and formulators calls for greater competitiveness. Symposium chairs representing the industry thus introduce this compilation of 13 papers presented at the symposium of the same name held in October 2006 addressing developments in formulation technology and adjuvants and application technology. Contributors review new formulations, test methods, a theoretical modeling approach to the development of new solvents, and the use of the Global Positioning System/Geographic Information Systems to monitor applications of an insecticide (aldicarb).
