Synopsis Spiritual Intelligence by : Kris Vallotton
Two quotients analyze our minds and emotions: I.Q. and E.Q. But Kris Vallotton believes we are ignoring a deeper dimension--spiritual intelligence. Because believers have the mind of Christ through the Holy Spirit, we have the capacity for brilliance. God invites us to embark on a journey of discovery as he reveals mysteries and helps us bring our perspective in line with his--transforming our understanding and endowing us with spiritual intelligence. In this eye-opening new release, pastor and bestselling author Kris Vallotton says that God invites us to think like him. He answers questions such as · What are the five dimensions of spiritual intelligence? · How can I build new neural pathways to supernatural thinking? · How do I recognize my sphere of influence and the borders of my divine assignment? · And much more! As you listen to the Holy Spirit and realize what it means to have the mind of Christ, you have the capacity for life-transforming spiritual intelligence unavailable in any other way.

Synopsis Perspectives on Spiritual Intelligence by : Marius Dorobantu
The topic of intelligence involves questions that cut deep into ultimate concerns and human identity, and the study of intelligence is an ideal ground for dialogue between science and religion. This volume investigates the notion of spiritual intelligence from a variety of perspectives, bringing together contributions from theology, computer science, linguistics, psychology, biology, and cognitive science. It defines spiritual intelligence as “processing things differently, not processing different things” and aims to describe it in naturalistic terms. Spiritual intelligence is not regarded as a separate mental module or a magical ability to interact with the supernatural but rather as a specific, more spiritual way of engagement with reality, which has observable cognitive, phenomenal, and linguistic characteristics. The book is valuable reading for those working at the interface between science and spirituality.

Synopsis In Search of Spiritual Intelligence by : Betty Steinhauer
My name is Betty Steinhauer. I have no address. I own very little besides what I carry with me as I roam the streets. Just stuff bundled in 9-10 suitcases parked with friends across the world. For me, being homeless is part of a bigger plan. After being hit by a car several years ago not long after retiring, I had an epiphany. I realised that I had been on my own spiritual journey since my first visit to India in 1990. Since then, I have travelled to 155 countries, sometimes as a tourist, sometimes on business, sometimes for my charity. I have made friends all over the world. But, I still had unanswered questions. So, I decided to sell everything, pack up my life and travel the world with a difference. This time I would journey not as a tourist but as a traveller wanting to learn from every wise person who crossed my path, and every challenging situation I found myself in. I would document my learning from the people I interviewed across the world. And so was born my new book, In Search of Spiritual Intelligence.

Decades ago, the noted psychiatrist R. D. Laing acknowledged that Each child is a new being, a potential prophet, a new spiritual prince/princess, a new spark of light precipitating into the outer darkness. This thoughtful and uplifting work is Sinetar's most important since Do What You Love, the Money Will Follow, and should attract a wide audience.

Synopsis The Reflective Heart by : James Winston Morris
For centuries Ibn ‘Arabi has been considered the “Greatest Master” of Islamic spiritual teaching, but Western readers have only recently had access to his greatest writings. This introduction to Ibn ‘Arabi’s Meccan Illuminations highlights the mysticism and realization of Sufi spiritual life, providing an intellectually penetrating look without requiring specialized knowledge. The development of several key themes and modes of reflection in Ibn ‘Arabi’s spiritual teachings are explored as are the gradually unfolding meanings that distinguish this important classical text of Sufi practice.

Synopsis Global Perspectives on Spirituality and Education by : Jacqueline Watson
In recent decades, and around the world, much attention has been given to the role of spirituality in the education of children and young people. While educationalists share many common goals and values in nurturing the spiritual lives of children and young people, national and regional cultures, religions and politics have impacted on the approaches scholars and practitioners have adopted in their investigations and practices. The different contexts across nations and regions mean that educators face quite distinct conditions in which to frame their approaches to spiritual education and research, and the nature and impact of these differences is not yet understood. This book brings together thinkers from around the globe and sets them the task of explaining how their research on children’s spirituality and education has been shaped by the historical, cultural, religious and political contexts of the geographic region in which they work. The book presents contributions in three sections – Europe and Israel, Australasia, and The Americas– and concludes with a chapter highlighting what is common and what is contextually unique about global approaches to spirituality and education.
