Faculty and students were an eclectic bunch of artists, scholars, beatniks, hippies, nerds, misfits, and children of the famous and almost-famous. Harry Belafonte and Sidney Poitier sent their children there. Dr. Max Jacobson, the infamous "Dr. Feelgood," sent his daughter there. All these children, and many more, are interviewed in this book.
