Synopsis Party Wolves in My Skull by : Michael Allen Rose

Norman Spooter awakens one morning to find that his eyeballs have fallen in love with each other. They proceed to tear themselves out of his head, steal his car keys, and take off for parts unknown... So he does what any of us would probably do in that situation... he goes back to bed, hoping it'll all resolve itself. Unfortunately, in the middle of the night, a pack of WOLVES moves in. The worst thing is, they're party wolves... BUT they gave him a security deposit, so he decides he's going out to get his eyeballs back. He joins forces on his epic quest with a woman named Zoe, who has a mysterious secret almost as crazy as Norman's Party Wolves. Besides, she needs him too... She's on the run from her psychopathic ex-boyfriend, who happens to be a dangerous sociopath, a classic car enthusiast and, worst of all, a fully grown walrus. The road trip/chase novel is flipped on its head with everyone chasing everyone... explosions, battles and madness are the drivers in this particular race, along with a few stops in such places as the Motel Sick and a cult town in North Dakota featuring some dangerous hooded guys who'll pretty much marry anything to anything. With violence and insanity nipping at his heels and a race against the clock to get his body parts back, this could turn out very badly for Norman Spooter.

Synopsis The Real Werewives of Colorado Box Set Vol. 1 Books 1-3 by : Kristen Strassel

Join The Real Werewives for this STEAMY season as cowboy wolves over forty find the curvy mates that will help them save their ranch. 30 Day Mate Will my past steal Saint’s future? After a misunderstanding costs me a dream contract for a cooking show on a major network, I’ll do whatever it takes to repair my reputation. Even apply to be one of The Real Werewives of Colorado. The dating reality show is my last chance to prove I’m for real, even if it means I’ll belong to a wolf shifter forever. Saint Lovell says I’m his mate, and I get whisked away on an all-expenses-paid trip to Colorado Ranch. More than that, the cowboy wolf is counting on me to stop an obscure clause in an ancient treaty from taking the land away from his pack. The cameras are rolling, and now I have to prove I’m the woman I claimed to be on my cooking show. Saint’s willing to give me everything I need to succeed, but am I cut out for real country living? This cowboy is offering me a whole new life, but my reputation insists on following me to Colorado Ranch. This time, the legacy of an entire pack is on the line… Midlife Mate When my beloved librarian job becomes a victim of budget cuts and my husband decides it’s time to trade me in for a newer, sleeker model, I should be depressed. But instead, I’m excited. I finally have a chance to break out of my shell and apply to be a contestant on The Real Werewives of Colorado. Never did I expect one of those cowboy wolf shifters to choose me from my audition tape, but Mason Hemmings thinks I’m his forever mate. Problem is, I’ve been thinking like a mom and a librarian for so long I don’t know how to be sexy anymore. But Mason makes me want to take chances. Get familiar with my long-neglected wild side. Mason’s been caught between two worlds too. Some of the unruliest wolves in the pack think he should be alpha, and he needs to blaze his own trail. He’s willing to make all my dreams come true—including giving me carte blanche to rebuild the pack library. This wolf has fallen head over spurs for me, and the feeling is mutual. But when that wild side that’s come out since I arrived in Colorado threatens to take everything from us, our episode goes from fantasy to reality. Fast. Will our new little family be able to bring the pack together and save Colorado Ranch? Second Chance Mate I’ve raised my kids, rose to the top of the game in my career as a private celebrity chef, and now it’s my time to shine. All my adult life I’ve worked hard to provide the best life possible for my family. I can finally take some time for myself and maybe even find a man who’s willing to stand by my side. So when I hear The Real Werewives are looking for contestants for their Colorado season, I apply. Levi chose me as his forever mate. This cowboy wolf has a rebellious streak that’s seriously hot. He’ll break all the rules to claim me, even if it causes a pack war. I know a thing or two about fighting for the things I want. And I’m determined to fight for this pack. But when my daughter drops a bombshell on me, I realize it might be too late for me to help Levi save Colorado Ranch.

Synopsis Wolves and the Wolf Myth in American Literature by : S.K. Robisch

The wolf is one of the most widely distributed canid species, historically ranging throughout most of the Northern Hemisphere. For millennia, it has also been one of the most pervasive images in human mythology, art, and psychology. Wolves and the Wolf Myth in American Literature examines the wolf’s importance as a figure in literature from the perspectives of both the animal’s physical reality and the ways in which writers imagine and portray it. Author S. K. Robisch examines more than two hundred texts written in North America about wolves or including them as central figures. From this foundation, he demonstrates the wolf’s role as an archetype in the collective unconscious, its importance in our national culture, and its ecological value. Robisch takes a multidisciplinary approach to his study, employing a broad range of sources: myths and legends from around the world; symbology; classic and popular literature; films; the work of scientists in a number of disciplines; human psychology; and field work conducted by himself and others. By combining the fundamentals of scientific study with close readings of wide-ranging literary texts, Robisch astutely analyzes the correlation between actual, living wolves and their representation on the page and in the human mind. He also considers the relationship between literary art and the natural world, and argues for a new approach to literary study, an ecocriticism that moves beyond anthropocentrism to examine the complicated relationship between humans and nature.
