Danny Leone has spent 43 years on board ships as a Cruise Director, Program Manager, and Producer of shows and is among the most highly respected in his field. After a two year US Army hitch during the Korean War he and a female partner were booked as a lounge act by Moore McCormack Lines for a 38 day round trip South American Cruise aboard the SS Brazil. He then was hired by Moore McCormack as an assistant on two cruises preparing him for his calling as a career Cruise Director. Danny Leone has travelled to the far corners of the globe, met interesting people, come up against challenging, heartwarming, and sometimes hilarious situations, and experienced the wonders and excitement only a world traveler could begin to share. Although during this time he has had several stints on stage, screen, and television he has always responded to the lure of travelling to distant ports on Cruise ships and has become a multi-lingual Ambassador of Good Will for the United States. Once Upon a Cruise reads like a travelogue against the backdrop of a young manĺs struggle to achieve his dreams. Danny Leone is a premier Cruise Director and entertainer and his first book chronicles his story from early childhood to the conclusion of his maiden voyage. This is a must read for anyone who has ever vacationed on the high seas.

Synopsis Once Upon a Cruise: a Wish Novel by : Anna Staniszewski
Ainsley's divorced mother is the director on a summer fairy tale (definitely not Disney) cruise, and nearly-thirteen-year-old Ainsley is annoyed that she is expected to spend her summer vacation helping out in hundred different ways, without much in the way of free time to chat up the cute boy playing the "Pig King"--then once the ship actually sets sail things start to go wrong, and Ainsley begins to wonder whether this fairy tale is cursed.

Synopsis Once Upon a Cruise: A Wish Novel by : Anna Staniszewski
A funny, fractured fairy tale (sort of) from the author of the beloved Dirt Diaries series! Ainsley never wanted to spend her summer on a fairy tale cruise--especially since, instead of lounging by the pool, she's running around the ship doing favor after favor for her cruise director mom. Things aren't all bad--it's good to see her mom acting confident again after the divorce, and she's learning a lot about obscure German fairy tales and how to fold towels into entertaining shapes for little kids (um, yay?). There's also a guy who's super cute, even in a dorky dwarf costume--if only Ainsley could get Prince Handsome to stop babbling about himself long enough for her to say more than 'hi' to the cute dwarf! But once the cruise starts, things start to go wrong: the laundry turns pink, the kitchen runs out of food, the guy playing the Pig King is always in Ainsley's hair, and her mom expects her to be in a hundred places all at once. Is this fairy tale cruise under a wicked curse? Or can Ainsley stand up for herself and make the cruise end happily ever after?

Synopsis Once Upon a Dream by : Liz Braswell
What if the sleeping beauty never woke up? Once Upon a Dream marks the second book in a new YA line that reimagines classic Disney stories in surprising new ways. It should be simple--a dragon defeated, a slumbering princess in a castle, a prince poised to wake her. But when the prince falls asleep as his lips touch the fair maiden's, it is clear that this fairy tale is far from over. With a desperate fairy's last curse controlling her mind, Princess Aurora must escape from a different castle of thorns and navigate a dangerously magical landscape--created from her very own dreams. Aurora isn't alone--a charming prince is eager to join her quest, and old friends offer their help. But as Maleficent's agents follow her every move, Aurora struggles to discover who her true allies are and, moreover, who she truly is. Time is running out. Will the sleeping beauty be able to wake herself up?

Synopsis The Jetsetters by : Amanda Eyre Ward
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • REESE’S BOOK CLUB PICK • Named One of the Best Beach Reads of the Year by Parade, O: The Oprah Magazine, and Good Housekeeping “The exuberant activity aboard the Splendido Marveloso is no match for the fireworks set off as the lies explode. Full of wicked humor and delicious destination details.”—People (Book of the Week) NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY ESQUIRE When seventy-year-old Charlotte Perkins submits a sexy essay to the Become a Jetsetter contest, she dreams of reuniting her estranged children: Lee, an almost-famous actress; Cord, a handsome Manhattan venture capitalist who can’t seem to find a partner; and Regan, a harried mother who took it all wrong when Charlotte bought her a Weight Watchers gift certificate for her birthday. Charlotte yearns for the years when her children were young, when she was a single mother who meant everything to them. When she wins the contest, the family packs their baggage—both literal and figurative—and spends ten days traveling from sun-drenched Athens through glorious Rome to tapas-laden Barcelona on an over-the-top cruise ship, the Splendido Marveloso. As lovers new and old join the adventure, long-buried secrets are revealed and old wounds are reopened, forcing the Perkins family to confront the forces that drove them apart and the defining choices of their lives. Can four lost adults find the peace they’ve been seeking by reconciling their childhood aches and coming back together? In the vein of The Nest and The Vacationers, The Jetsetters is a delicious and intelligent novel about the courage it takes to reveal our true selves, the pleasures and perils of family, and how we navigate the seas of adulthood.

Synopsis Happily Ever Island by : Crystal Cestari
Welcome to Happily Ever Island, the most pixie-dusted vacation a Disney fan could ever imagine. Head-in-the-clouds romantic Madison and driven pragmatist Lanie are unlikely best friends, but the two would do anything for each other. So when Madison's life starts to fall apart, Lanie agrees to join Madison for the test run of Disney's newest resort experience during their first college spring break: Happily Ever Island—an immersive vacation destination, where guests can become their favorite Disney character for a week. Madison decides to go as the iconic princess herself, Cinderella, with Lanie as bow-wielding Merida. It's not Lanie's idea of fun, but she knows Madison needs her, and besides, she could use the break from her strenuous courseload anyway. Plus, maybe she'll get to shoot things. But once on the island, Lanie and Madison begin to drift apart. Madison finds herself either missing out or messing up all the enchanting moments she has dreamt her whole life about, and is forever running into their annoyingly perfect (and distractingly cute) vacation's coordinator, Val. Meanwhile, Lanie unexpectedly finds herself swept up in the magic of it all. She strikes up a secret romance with Prince Charming—but there's no telling whether he's just playing a part. In this delightful YA rom-com inspired by Disney fandom, get swept up in a whirlwind of laughter, tears, and more than just a touch of Disney magic.

Synopsis Once Upon the Rhine by : R. A. Anderson
Fifty years before an American boy named Brody explored the streets of Basel, Switzerland with his family, Cody the Cockatrice had become obsolete. Because children had grown to believe he wasn't real, that he was just a mythological creature, Cody was no longer visible and his job as a child guardian was impossible. Then Brody takes notice of the strange statue standing guard over most of the water fountains around the city of Basel while on a tour with his family. As he fills his water bottle, their Swiss Chocolatier tour guide explains that the mythological creature was fathered by a rooster, mothered by a lizard, hatched by a toad, and had the tail and wings of a dragon. But wait. If he is an imaginary creature, how does Brody see a real one sitting right next to the statue?!Cody realizes Brody sees him and has no idea what to do. Fifty years is a long time! Can he be a Cockatrice God Parent (CGP) to an American? If so, will he have to leave Basel and go back to America with the boy? Cody decides to follow the family down the Rhine River on their Disney river boat cruise, where he finds he is more than needed by Brody and his brothers.

Synopsis The Imperial Cruise by : James Bradley
In 1905 President Teddy Roosevelt dispatched Secretary of War William Howard Taft on the largest U.S. diplomatic mission in history to Hawaii, Japan, the Philippines, China, and Korea. Roosevelt's glamorous twenty-one year old daughter Alice served as mistress of the cruise, which included senators and congressmen. On this trip, Taft concluded secret agreements in Roosevelt's name. In 2005, a century later, James Bradley traveled in the wake of Roosevelt's mission and discovered what had transpired in Honolulu, Tokyo, Manila, Beijing and Seoul. In 1905, Roosevelt was bully-confident and made secret agreements that he though would secure America's westward push into the Pacific. Instead, he lit the long fuse on the Asian firecrackers that would singe America's hands for a century.
