On the influence attributed to philosophers, free-masons, and to the illuminati Jean Joseph Mounier PREFACE, BY THE TRANSLATOR, ONE of the chief fources of misfortune, infeparably attached to times of revolution and of civil difcord, is the want of moderation in men of all parties. In fuch eventful periods as that in which we live, men choofe their party often they knownot why. and purfue with heat all the meafures of thofe with whom they afibciate themfelves, without reflecting whether they are called for by neceffity, whether they are confident with prudence, or warranted by juftice. Two men equally able and equally honeft, placed within the revolutionary vortex, may be determined by the flighteft circumflance, operating on their vanity, their pride, or their envy, and a 3 without without their being confcious of the caufe, to choofe oppofite courfes, and to purfue them with equal zeal and obftinacy; the one as a violent unbending anftocrat, and the other as an infolent unfeeling republican. But fuch extremes, on either fide, are not confident with unfullied virtue, or with pure notions of political and moral duty. Such however is the fact, that in times of commotion and of civil difcord, the bulk of men are generally thus arranged into oppofite and hoftile parties, and often become guilty of crimes, in maintaining the exaggeration of thsir refpective opinions, at the bare afpedt of which they would have fliuddered in times of tranquillity. In judging of the itate of parties, in inquiring into the caufes, the progrefs, and confequenct s of revolutions, impartial men muft e r have this general fact in view. Synopsis The Illuminati Mayhem & Murder by : Frank White
"The Illuminati Mayhem & Murder" by Frank White delves into the enigmatic and often misunderstood world of the Illuminati, the secret society that has captivated imaginations and sparked controversies for centuries. This comprehensive volume combines White's two groundbreaking works, providing an unparalleled exploration of the group's far-reaching influence, intricate power structures, and alleged involvement in pivotal historical events. In "Who Are The Illuminati," White critically examines the truths and myths surrounding this secretive organization. From their rumored control over global events to their purported ties with influential families like the Rockefellers and Rothschilds, the book investigates the depth of the Illuminati's influence. Are they the puppet masters of the world's elite, shaping politics, entertainment, and media? Or is their notoriety a product of misinterpretation and conspiracy theories? "The Illuminati's Greatest Hits" takes a darker turn, unveiling the alleged covert operations and brutal tactics employed by the Illuminati to maintain their stronghold. From orchestrating revolutions and wars to the high-profile assassinations of Lincoln, Kennedy, and other key figures, White explores how these events fit into the larger puzzle of the New World Order. The book questions the extent of their manipulation and their relentless pursuit of global domination, shedding light on the sinister side of this enigmatic group. Together, these narratives form "The Illuminati Mayhem & Murder," a book that not only uncovers the layers of secrecy surrounding the Illuminati but also challenges the reader to question the very fabric of modern history. It's an essential read for anyone intrigued by the shadowy intersection of power, conspiracy, and the clandestine forces shaping our world.

Synopsis British Freemasonry, 1717-1813 Volume 4 by : Robert Peter
Freemasonry was a major cultural and social phenomenon and a key element of the Enlightenment. It was to have an international influence across the globe. This primary resource collection charts a key period in the development of organized Freemasonry culminating in the formation of a single United Grand Lodge of England. The secrecy that has surrounded Freemasonry has made it difficult to access information and documents about the organization and its adherents in the past. This collection is the result of extensive archival research and transcription and highlights the most significant themes associated with Freemasonry. The documents are drawn from masonic collections, private archives and libraries worldwide. The majority of these texts have never before been republished. Documents include rituals (some written in code), funeral services, sermons, songs, certificates, an engraved list of lodges, letters, pamphlets, theatrical prologues and epilogues, and articles from newspapers and periodicals. This collection will enable researchers to identify many key masons for the first time. It will be of interest to students of Freemasonry, the Enlightenment and researchers in eighteenth-century studies.
