This book presents part of the proceedings of the Manufacturing and Materials track of the iM3F 2020 conference held in Malaysia. This collection of articles deliberates on the key challenges and trends related to manufacturing as well as materials engineering and technology in setting the stage for the world in embracing the fourth industrial revolution. It presents recent findings with regards to manufacturing and materials that are pertinent towards the realizations and ultimately the embodiment of Industry 4.0, with contributions from both industry and academia.

The volume contains original research papers as the Proceedings of the International Conference on Advances in Mathematics and Computing, held at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Odisha, India, on 7-8 February, 2020. It focuses on new trends in applied analysis, computational mathematics and related areas. It also includes certain new models, image analysis technique, fluid flow problems, etc. as applications of mathematical analysis and computational mathematics. The volume should bring forward new and emerging topics of mathematics and computing having potential applications and uses in other areas of sciences. It can serve as a valuable resource for graduate students, researchers and educators interested in mathematical tools and techniques for solving various problems arising in science and engineering.

The Pacific Rim International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (PRICAI) is a biennial international event which focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) theories and technologies, and their applications which are of social and economic importance for countries in the Pacific Rim region. Seven earlier conferences were held in: Nagoya, Japan (1990); Seoul, Korea (1992); Beijing, China (1994); Cairns, Australia (1996); Singapore (1998); Melbourne, Australia (2000); and Tokyo, Japan (2002). PRICAI 2004 was the eigth in the series and was held in Auckland, New Zealand in August 2004. PRICAI 2004 had attracted a historical record number of submissions, a total of 356 papers. After careful reviews by at least two international Program Committee members or referees, 94 papers were accepted as full papers (27%) and 54 papers (15%) were accepted as posters. Authors of accepted papers came from 27 countries. This volume of the proceedings contains all the 94 full papers but only a 2-page - tended abstract of each of the accepted posters. The full papers were categorized into four sections, namely: AI foundations, computational intelligence, AI technologies and systems, and AI specific application areas. Among the papers submitted, we found “Agent Technology” to be the area having the most papers submitted. This was followed by “Evolutionary Computing”, “Computational Learning”, and “Image Processing”.

This book reports the recent results obtained by Italian researchers in fuzzy logic. It collects some selected papers presented at the 1995 Italian Workshop on Fuzzy Logic (WILF '95), and some invited contributions. The book covers some of the most interesting topics in fuzzy logic: theory, evolutionary computing, and gives an overview of applications in control, image processing, pattern recognition, decisions support systems, and high energy physics.

New Trends in Fuzzy Set Theory and Related Items.

This book presents select proceedings of the International Conference on Applied Mathematics in Science and Engineering (AMSE 2019). Various topics covered include computational fluid dynamics, applications of differential equations in engineering, numerical methods for ODEs and PDEs, mathematical modeling and analysis of biological systems, optimal control and controllability of differential equations, fractional calculus and its applications, nonlinear analysis, and functional analysis. This book will be of interest to researchers, academicians and students in the fields of applied sciences, mathematics and engineering.
