Synopsis My Adventures with Earl by : Margaret J. Hyler
I wrote this book to tell my future descendants how I love to travel, and maybe inspire them to go see the world that God made. There are days that are great, and some not so great when traveling, but one learns to adapt to various circumstances in order to keep traveling. My husband was our travel agent except when we flew to Hawaii or Puerto Rica. This book tells of the beautiful places that we have seen, and we have been to all fifty states. This United States is gorgeous! One will never be able to see it all, but Earl and I have tried.

Synopsis Buddy and Earl by : Maureen Fergus
“An understated winner of a friendship story. ... simultaneously of-the-moment and timeless.” — Publishers Weekly, STARRED REVIEW What’s in the box that Meredith has carried into the living room? Buddy doesn’t know, but when the small, prickly creature says he is a pirate — and that Buddy is a pirate, too — the mismatched friends are off on a grand adventure. In this first book in the best-selling Buddy and Earl series, a dog who likes to play by the rules meets a hedgehog who knows no limits. Their friendship is tender and loyal, and their adventures are funny and imaginative. Maureen Fergus’s text is witty and understated, and Carey Sookocheff’s art emphasizes both the humor and the warmth of this odd and loveable animal couple. Correlates to the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.K.1 With prompting and support, ask and answer questions about key details in a text. Synopsis The Reluctant Earl by : C. J. Chase
Alone in a gentleman's bedchamber, rummaging through his clothing--governess Leah Vance risks social ruin. Only by selling political information can she pay for her sister's care. And the letter she found in Julian DeChambelle's coat could be valuable--if the ex-sea captain himself had not just walked in. As a navy officer, Julian knew his purpose. As a new earl, he's plagued by trivialities and marriage-obsessed females. Miss Vance's independence is intriguing--and useful. In return for relaying false information, he will pay her handsomely. But trusting her, even caring for her? That would be pure folly. Yet when he sees the danger that surrounds her, it may be too late to stop himself....
