Synopsis The Endra Scripts - Endra: Anecdotes of a Modern Day Witch Phases 1-10 by : Polonious

Who is Endra? A modern day witch? Conjurer? Energy maven? She is the woman we all wish to be and some of us are becoming. You can read about her in 10 Plays where she uses science, nature, physics and universal understandings to deal with the issues we all deal with. Find real meaning in the energy of the Tarot, the I-Ching, herbs, nature and science. Knight is Endra’s partner and he lives in realms not of this world, and exists in Windover for only one reason: that’s where Endra is. Endra looks like us, walks like us, lives with us, but is very different from us. She is sensitive to energy & a psychic medium who uses magick. The magick she employs is not sleight of hand, or distraction, but is based in nature, science and the power of the mind. She lives differently and through her interactions in her town of Windover and her discussions with her lover, Knight, we might think and learn to live a little bit more like her. She is authentic, powerful, and knows what she wants, needs and will put up with. Endra: Anecdotes of a Modern Day Witch: Phase 1: Seeing Tarot - Endra “sees” Tarot cards in a different way. Learn about the Tarot, this maven, her town and her Knight. Phase 2: The Real Practice of Herbs - Endra shares her true craft and highlights what is real and what is not. Cauldrons, wands and fakes beware! Phase 3: Time for Reiki - Reiki through space & time heals in quite a different way. Travel with Endra & Knight to see things differently. Phase 4: Acupressure for Change - What is the point of using acupuncture if you don't affect real change? Endra uses the points to make her point clear. Phase 5: Cha Ching, Here's Your Change - Phobias, marches & protests consume Windover. What is it that Endra uses to keep her perspective? Phase 6: Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Who’s the Bestest of Them All? - A class on energy gathers gurus, witches and warlocks. The energy dictates who is the most powerful of all. Phase 7: The Elixir of Words and Digesting the Truth - Doctors celebrate their diagnosis but Endra spots the real truth. Words can heal or harm. Phase 8: A Different Transmission - Endra hits the radio airwaves, for a whole different type of broadcast. Phase 9: The Scent of Magick - Science meets energy. Who ever thought of using science as Endra does? Phase 10: The Mysterious Breath - The power of breath takes on a new meaning when Endra is invited to your party. Once you meet Endra, you will want to be her best friend. You will want to understand her better and maybe, just maybe . . .You might learn a little bit of your own magick!

Synopsis Free Opinions, Freely Expressed on Certain Phases of Modern Social Life and Conduct by : Marie Corelli

Written by the best-selling 19th century author, Marie Corelli, this book is a collection of her essays about life as an author in the era, with colorful descriptions of her perspective on media and the reading audience, as seen as her own writing from this book: "The 'million' have long ago learned to read,—and are reading. The last is the most important fact, and one which those who seek to govern them would do well to remember. For their reading is of a most strange, mixed, and desultory order—and who can say what wondrous new notions and disturbing theories may not leap out sprite-like from the witch's cauldron of seething ideas round which they gather, watching the literary 'bubble, bubble, toil and trouble.'"

Synopsis Introduction to Modern Traffic Flow Theory and Control by : Boris S. Kerner

The understanding of empirical traf?c congestion occurring on unsignalized mul- lane highways and freeways is a key for effective traf?c management, control, or- nization, and other applications of transportation engineering. However, the traf?c ?ow theories and models that dominate up to now in transportation research journals and teaching programs of most universities cannot explain either traf?c breakdown or most features of the resulting congested patterns. These theories are also the - sis of most dynamic traf?c assignment models and freeway traf?c control methods, which therefore are not consistent with features of real traf?c. For this reason, the author introduced an alternative traf?c ?ow theory called three-phase traf?c theory, which can predict and explain the empirical spatiot- poral features of traf?c breakdown and the resulting traf?c congestion. A previous book “The Physics of Traf?c” (Springer, Berlin, 2004) presented a discussion of the empirical spatiotemporal features of congested traf?c patterns and of three-phase traf?c theory as well as their engineering applications. Rather than a comprehensive analysis of empirical and theoretical results in the ?eld, the present book includes no more empirical and theoretical results than are necessary for the understanding of vehicular traf?c on unsignalized multi-lane roads. The main objectives of the book are to present an “elementary” traf?c ?ow theory and control methods as well as to show links between three-phase traf?c t- ory and earlier traf?c ?ow theories. The need for such a book follows from many commentsofcolleaguesmadeafterpublicationofthebook“ThePhysicsofTraf?c”.
