Synopsis Mentorship Engine by : Ethan Martin

Leveraging their diverse backgrounds from entrepreneurship to private equity to finance to the social sector, Ethan and Ramsey share not only what is possible, but how to recruit and retain the top talent you need to be successful along with having more fun and impact in your journey. When the final words of your life are engraved, there are two numbers bracketing that stone. There is an inception date and a terminal date, and between them is a summation of what you, as a leader, did with the totality of your time, talent, and treasure to transform the lives of others. Importantly, the question those concluding words will answer can only be authorized by individuals able to stand beside your final resting place and boldly testify, "Because of you, I am". The Mentorship Engine has been penned as a precious resource to amplify your purposeful mission to empower others to unequivocally declare that "They are, because of you".We believe this book will be both an inspiration of what is possible and full of questions to refine your growth/impact vision and best practices/practical advice. We are grateful for the mentors who have enriched our lives and hope you will continue to pay it forward and be part of a community who shares your commitment to others.

Synopsis Mentors and Tormentors by : Tim Jones, M.D.

Don't be fooled. At first glance, he is just another middle-class fourteen-year-old. But on closer inspection, Wendall is so much more. He's naive, sheltered, and insecure. Fortunately, he discovers a cure for his youthful shortcomings. He cannot control his curiosity. No matter how embarrassing, Wendall must know why people think, feel, say, and do sometimes-crazy things. During a span of four inquisitive years, his view of the world is transformed by a colorful cast of small-town characters. Some are mentors; others are tormentors. However, each is a specialist who thoroughly comprehends a specific facet of human nature: happiness, manipulation, and saying no, to list only a few. But Wendall isn't just a passive student. He gets his hands dirty when his father transplants the family to a rundown farm. Our nosey hero then battles a sadistic psychopath, gets cheated by a con man, and talks a best friend back from a botched suicide attempt. Mentors and Tormentors is not another predictable, coming-of-age story. It is an instruction manual detailing how to handle yourself and other people. Wendall's adventures add some fun and entertainment, which balance and reinforce the seriousness of the lessons. Think of this book as a collection of modern fables with each chapter having a specific, applicable message. But unlike Aesop's fables, these truths don't stand alone. They coalesce and reveal the secret to enjoying life with complete peace of mind. Mentors and Tormentors is Tim Jones's first literary work. The lessons and characters are loosely based on his own experiences and those of thousands of emergency room patients. Dr. Jones's thirty years of experiencing their humanity have made him uniquely qualified to write this book. His objective is to make readers laugh and learn. Laugh at Wendall's missteps and learn his lessons the easy way. To learn more visit www.mentorsandtormentors.com

Synopsis Meditation Mentorship Ministry that Teaches Self-Control to Improve Parent-Child Relationships in Korean Immigrant Families by : JC Ed Choi

My mentoring service was provided to Korean immigrant parents in pastoral settings for the purpose of helping them renew their family spirit and strengthen their relationships with their Canadian-raised children. Both Jean-Guy Nadeau's pastoral praxeology and Richard Osmer's four main tasks were adopted as guideposts since the nature of this project incorporated pastoral, ethical, and practical theological. The empirical/descriptive task of observation includes data collection, analysis, and interpretation within the framework of the research design and plan. The research findings indicate that conflicts between parents and children diminish family spirit within Korean immigrant families. The interpretive task problematizes the research findings by performing contextual analysis and draws on theories of human sciences to show how Korean immigrant families are affected by the traditional Korean value system founded on Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. The normative task of theological interpretation presents how Christian virtues, evangelical qualities of relationships, and ethical norms and teachings of the Church can become incorporated into the lifestyles of Korean immigrant parents who wish to live in harmony with their children and renew their family spirit in full accordance with the Gospel. The pragmatic task of operational re-elaboration implements a ministerial solution formulated on theoretical and spiritual interpretations that are concerned with how the mentoring service can be used to cultivate Christian virtues in Korean immigrant parents, teach them self-control practice, and strengthen their relationships with their children.
