Synopsis Managing Mr. Bossy by : Hillary Ammon Psy.D.
Like the superheroes in her favorite movies, Chloe was battling a monster. However, her monster was a bit different than the monsters in the movies. Chloe called him the worry monster. The worry monster's opinions were mixed up in her thoughts, telling her what to do and causing her to worry about her choices. The more Chloe thought about the worry monster's opinions, the more often his opinions popped up, and the louder they got in her head. Chloe felt like she was losing the battle against the worry monster. He was impacting her ability to focus in school. Even doing daily routines became more difficult! Chloe wanted to tell her parents about the worry monster, but she wasn't sure how to tell them. She didn't know anyone else who battled a worry monster. By being brave and finally sharing that she was battling a worry monster with adults in her life, Chloe discovered that other kids battled worry monsters too. After meeting with a psychologist, Chloe learned that based on what her worry monster worried about, she had something called obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Along with the help of her superhero sidekicks, including her parents and therapist, Chloe learned strategies to effectively battle her worry monster, named Mr. Bossy, in a form of therapy called exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy. Chloe approached the situations that caused her to worry. These were called exposures. During these exposures, she might hear Mr. Bossy's opinions, but she no longer changed her behaviors based on them. Over time, Mr. Bossy got less and less opinionated and a bit quieter in her head. She learned that Mr. Bossy's opinions were just that, opinions, not facts, and started to become more comfortable with uncertainty.

Synopsis Tame Your Terrible Office Tyrant by : Lynn Taylor
An indispensable guide to dealing with challenging, childish boss behavior and building a great career, with laugh- out-loud humor built in. Based on extensive interviews among workers, managers and psychologists, Tame Your Terrible Office TyrantTM draws hilarious but true parallels between toddlers and managers. When under stress, both often have trouble moderating their power, or lose the ability to think rationally. Traits in common include tantrum-throwing, demanding, stubborn, moody, fickle, self-centered, needy and whiny behavior. BADD (Boss Attention Deficit Disorder) is discussed as part of “Short Attention Spans.” There are 20 chapter traits in all, divided into “Bratty” and “Little Lost Lamb” categories, for easy reference, including real anecdotes and many useful tips. When bad bosses run amok in companies, nobody wins. This book shows readers how to build positive relationships with even the most out-of-control boss, and still thrive in your job. The key to success lies in dealing with a Terrible Office Tyrant (or TOTTM) much like a parent deals with a troublesome toddler. With true stories and time-tested solutions, this is the perfect guide managing a boss stuck in his Terrible Twos. Taylor takes you behind all the bossy blustering, so that you can focus on getting ahead – and achieve career excellence. Savvy top management will also gain insight on what not to do with their team. They know that Terrible Office Tyrant (TOT) managers may not be in plain sight (they don’t leave juice stains on the hallway carpet!) But they do wreak havoc on the bottom line. A special section helps senior management and Human Resource departments mitigate TOT behavior for a more productive workplace.

Synopsis Bossy Bastard by : J. L. Perry
ASHTON BARCLAY, or as I like to call him, Mr. B. for Bossy, is fast becoming the bane of my existence. After running into him, literally, he's now popping up everywhere, and somehow managing to weave his way into my life. He's egotistical, smug, and so ridiculously good-looking it should be illegal-he's way too hot to handle. I don't do hot, those type of guys are more trouble than they're worth.Although, I'd secretly love to do him. We've kissed once-it was smokin', and led to me dry humping his leg in front of the entire club like a shameless hussy. Oh, and did I mention I deep throated his thumb within seconds of meeting him and I didn't even know his name.Apparently I have issues, big ones.He makes me do things I never imagined myself doing. He makes me feel things I'm not comfortable feeling. It just wouldn't work, even if I wanted it to. Between us we have more baggage than a carousel at LAX airport. He's everything I want, but can never have.Or so I thought.
