This Proposed Resource Management Plan Amendment and Final Environmental Impact Statement describes and analyzes five alternatives for managing recreational target shooting on the 486,400 surface acres in the Sonoran Desert National Monument (SDNM) administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The SDNM spans portions of Maricopa and Pinal Counties. The Proposed RMPA provides a framework for the future management direction and appropriate use of the SDNM, and document contains land use planning decisions to guide the BLM's management of the SDNM.
