Synopsis Long Long Time Ago (Part 2) by : Jack Neo
Long Long Time Ago Part 2 is a continuation from the first movie and tracks Singapore’s growth after independence, when foreign companies set up industries in the country and created employment opportunities for the people. With a farming license inherited from her father, Zhao Di works hard to get the farm going and establishes her independence in the household. Zhao Di’s growth and independence parallels Singapore’s gradual shift from agriculture to modernization and the bright future she has ahead of her. Despite the wonderful times they had growing up in a kampong, it’s not long before Zhao Di and family must bid a fond farewell to their beloved kampong and look forward to their new lives in the HDB flats.

Synopsis A Long, Long Time Ago.... in the Future by : Jill Marie West
The wildest, craziest ideas emerging from the depths of our swirling imaginations are closer to the truth than anything in our so called “reality’ could ever be. The first instinctive and instantaneous feeling arising from the center core of our being is always the most accurate and astute account of a situation that we can get. Believing in these two concepts has made it possible to write down the words for the following short stories. These stories are a series of events that may or may not have really happened. Instead of trying to validate them, I would prefer to view them as a set of lessons of sorts. The theme that runs through each story is what is important. What worked for mankind, and clearly what did not. It matters not the particular characters or the actual circumstances. We have all experienced violence and negative thinking. How will these lessons effect the future? That is the only question capable of making a difference. Our past is undeniably linked to our future. If we decide not to fill anymore of history with separate and harmful acts, then perhaps it will be helpful to carry the memory of our recent past with us, allowing it to serve as a painful reminder. Hopefully, our grandchildren and great grandchildren will once again live as brothers and sisters. My sincere hope is that the future upon our Mother Earth can be enjoyed with balance, wholeness, and connection. With Hope, Promise, and Light! Jill Marie West

Synopsis Slave Narratives: Interviews with Former Slaves: Arkansas Narratives, Part 2 by : Work Projects Administration
After the Revolutionary War, millions of African descendent men and women remained slaves despite being freed by the English. Nearly 100 years later they were freed, but remained living in fear for their lives in the Southern States. This book details first hand accounts of what it was like to live under the hand of oppression and slavery. The language is harsh and direct, but shows what life truly was like by the stories and pictures of individuals who lived during this era. This book is for any history major or any individual who wants to find Americas dark past. It is filled with stories and language that may be disturbing to some, but shows the true life under slavery in America. This book has been left unedited as originally written in 1938-39.

Synopsis Liverpool Kids of WWII, Part 2 by : Bernard Fredericks
The boy was growing into youth – not yet a teenager – but was bright enough to know his country was in a war that it mustn’t lose, that his brother and uncles were also part of this deadly struggle... Melodious harmonies and helmets were heard and seen at the impromptu Christmas party his mum and dad had arranged. He was as inquisitive as could be because it sounded like the Americans had arrived with Uncle Jim for the little house party he’d eavesdropped about over the last few days. “Gosh a’mighty!” he heard one over-the-pond voice exclaim. “You got gas lighting but no electricity in the house, huh?” The front room was alive with noise generated by adults, both seated and standing, in a happy conversation. Already, a smoky fuzz was forming from lit cigarettes, held firmly between thumbs and forefingers and used sometimes to emphasise a point or two in the friendly interchange of chit-chat. The first thing he noticed was one policeman’s helmet and two American army white military police garrison caps grouped together at one end of his mum’s upright piano top. Railway policeman, Uncle Jim was in boisterous good humour with the two Americans. Suddenly, his young eyes lit up as he spied a crumpled untidy mess of military equipment in the corner of the room, which drew him onto it immediately. He could see a US army belt with what looked like a brown wood baseball bat attached, as well as a set of handcuffs.
