Synopsis Keeping in Touch with the Other Side by : Pauline DiBenedetto

Pauline Di Benedetto, who was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and now resides in North Attleborough, Massachusetts, says she received her gift of writing at the age of fifteen. While she was saying her prayers, her words began to rhyme. That was when she knew that writing was her purpose in life. She has written several poems and songs in her life which she shared with her family and friends. Through her trials in life, Pauline felt the need to help others by inspiring them to have faith. She published her first book with us titled, Faith Through the Eyes of a Child which is available on Amazon and can be ordered in any brick-and-mortar stores. Pauline believes this book, Keeping in Touch with the Other Side, is "the one" that was truly "meant to be written." In this book, she has included Bible verses, along with a poem after each chapter, which give an inspirational message. Although she hesitated to write this book, she felt as though she was "pushed" into it when she fell and fractured her foot. That's when she finally "got the message." Although she would like to keep her private life "private," Pauline says that she must follow her "inner spirit." She also states that she didn't write these books alone. She believes "St. Therese" is her ghost writer and guardian angel who guides her through these books and through her life. Is she "right"? Who will be the "judge"?

Synopsis The Other Side of Life by : Daphne Williams Robinson

The Other Side of Life is a fantasy about what can happen when the forces of nature intersect our lives. People caught up in storms, earthquakes, floods, and the like have a story to tell, none so mystical as what it might be like to travel through space and especially through time. William (Bill) and Henry (Hank) are two high school students who have that experience: first, when they meet Winston, a visitor from the nineteenth century, and later when all of them are transported from their twenty-first century lives to the nineteenth century, a land caught up fighting in the Civil War. Are they forever trapped in nineteenth-century America? What effect will the customs of the nineteenth century have on them if they are ever fortunate enough to be transported back to the twenty-first century? This story helps determine the direction of our lives.

Synopsis Voices from the Other Side by : Harvest moon eyes

When author Harvest moon eyes decided to spend the winter of 1995 in Seattle, Washington, it was with the intention of writing a simple love story. A series of bizarre events unfolded and instead she found herself spending the winter on the streets with Seattles homeless. As Seattles homeless shared their background, opinions, and political viewpoints, Harvest moon eyes began to examine her life, prejudices and failures. Voices From The Other Side is her journal: a spiritual metamorphosis interwoven between unaltered-recorded conversations, which expose the rawness of the streets; and the emotions and thoughts the author tried to keep hidden, as well as delivering a timeless, compelling message to our politicians.

Synopsis Parents and Digital Technology by : Suzie Hayman

Children today are digital natives, growing up in an age where social media and online communication is the norm. This book is an indispensable guide for parents who may feel they are struggling to keep up, addressing the issues that young people and their families face in the world of modern technology. Suzie Hayman, a parenting counsellor, and John Coleman, a distinguished psychologist, use their combined expertise to explore the challenges and possibilities of being constantly connected, helping parents to make choices about how they communicate, set boundaries and establish rules. Using real-world examples and solid psychological theory, the book looks first at the anxieties parents express about digital technology, followed by the serious potential threats such as cyber-bullying, sexting and easy access to pornographic or violent materials. However, the internet is also full of enormous potential and a further chapter explores the positive side of the digital playground. The authors also share their expert understanding of child and adolescent development and how this relates to the appeal of digital media, with special attention paid to the importance of good communication. The end result is a toolbox for parents, full of tips, strategies and techniques designed to help navigate the digital world, ensuring it is safe yet still exciting for young people. Parents and Digital Technology is essential reading for all parents and guardians as well as those caring for children and teenagers in a professional setting, who want to get the best out of life and modern technology while keeping safe in a family that talks to each other, spends time with each other and enjoys each other.

Synopsis Lady Sedna’S Ascension Handbook by : Lady Sedna

We are becoming a new species of human being. Our consciousness and the cells of our physical bodies are being transformed by light and love. We are beginning to experience living in a new dimension but here on Earth, right now. This transformation to a new way of being is known as ascension. Lady Sedna is one of the most senior elders among the Ascended Masters, training and guiding apprentices along the Ascension Path until they are fully operational as a being of love, wisdom, and power, and utilizing their mastery for the benefit of this planet and her people. In over one hundred messages she has channeled through Sophia Ovidne, Lady Sedna has brought together a kind of user manual for ascension. It contains the criteria for reaching ascension, and also for maintaining this position, for the challenges from our everyday world are always knocking at our door and threatening to unseat us from our thrones. However, this is not an instruction manual with detailed steps for Enlightenment. Each pilgrims journey is too unique and customized for that. But in her messages, Lady Sedna finds a way to provide answers to everyone who searches for one. Her insight, compassion, understanding, and straightforwardness, make her an ideal mentor as we struggle to embrace and to figure out what is happening to us as we are transformed from base metal into gold. There are few people on Earth who yet have this knowledge and experience to be able to share it with us and assist us. This handbook is a gift from heaven, a map when we are lost and confused, a balm when we are frustrated and hurting, and an inspiration when we are stuck in the lower levels and need reminding how to fly.

Synopsis Children and the Internet by : Sonia Livingstone

Is the internet really transforming children and young people’s lives? Is the so-called ‘digital generation’ genuinely benefiting from exciting new opportunities? And, worryingly, facing new risks? This major new book by a leading researcher addresses these pressing questions. It deliberately avoids a techno-celebratory approach and, instead, interprets children’s everyday practices of internet use in relation to the complex and changing historical and cultural conditions of childhood in late modernity. Uniquely, Children and the Internet reveals the complex dynamic between online opportunities and online risks, exploring this in relation to much debated issues such as: Digital in/exclusion Learning and literacy Peer networking and privacy Civic participation Risk and harm Drawing on current theories of identity, development, education and participation, this book includes a refreshingly critical account of the challenging realities undermining the great expectations held out for the internet - from governments, teachers, parents and children themselves. It concludes with a forward-looking framework for policy and regulation designed to advance children’s rights to expression, connection and play online as well as offline.
