We invite you to explore the third issue of our 10th anniversary series in the Journal of International Students! The COVID-19 global pandemic has affected every facet of our lives, and international students are profoundly impacted by the uncertainty in higher education worldwide. The cutting-edge research and analysis from our authors continues to be critical as we navigate new realities together. Issue 10.3 continues our yearlong celebration with essays from influential voices in the field who highlight the importance of supporting international students and immigrants in these challenges time, the diversification of students, and teaching and engaging international students.

This book examines the diversity of international student experiences in the top four destination countries in the English-speaking world (United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada). Bringing together scholars from the fields of education, sociology, communications, linguistics, international relations, and geography, this edited collection explores the challenges and opportunities of “international encounters” on college and university campuses. Additionally, the contributors rethink many of the key concepts in the field of international student studies such as “international student,” “host community,” and “cultural adjustment” while also critically examining the role that race, gender, and national identity play in shaping international student experiences. Through a series of case studies, the contributions to this book highlight the diverse experiences of international students from different world regions, including East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The broader aim of the book is to enrich our understanding of cross-cultural interactions within the context of higher education institutions in order to enhance the international student experience.

Issue 10.2 continues the journal's yearlong celebration with special 10th Anniversary Essays from influential voices in the field like Karin Fisher and Rahul Choudaha who highlight the need for research in the face of the current pandemic, the affordability crisis for students, and the workplace experiences of international students. The 10.2 issue features essays, research articles, reflections, and book reviews from authors in Australia, Canada, China, Eritrea, the Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

Journal of International Students || Vol 10 No 4 (2020): 10th Anniversary Series || Part I We invite you to explore the fourth issue of our 10th anniversary series in the Journal of International Students with excellent essays from Jenny Lee, Darla Deardorff, Rosalind Raby, and Megan Siczek. Our final issue for 2020 features authors from and research focused on Armenia, Australia, China, Mexico, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. Issue 10.4 concludes our yearlong celebration with essays from influential voices in the field, who highlight critical issues facing international students, reflections on the last ten years in community college internationalization, and thoughts about how we need to move forward in the community.

Our 10th Anniversary series features special essays from influential voices in the field who explore future directions for internationalization and student mobility, as well as the experiences of new generations of international students in less researched contexts and the need for more critical perspectives. Our 10th anniversary cover art celebrates the past ten years with an image of the Holi Festival of Colors celebrated around the world, including Nepal, the birthplace of our Founding & Executive Editor, Dr. Krishna Bista. The image is overlaid with the name of the journal in various languages to celebrate our authors and readers who span the globe, as well as our plans to publish future special issues in the many languages of our readers, similar to our recent Special Issue on International Students in China with full-length articles in Simplified Chinese. This issue features research and authors in Australia, Austria, Brazil, China, Lebanon, Malaysia, the Philippines, Portugal, and South Africa.

Journal of International Students: Vol 10 No S2 (2020): Special Issue: Reflection and Reflective Thinking The Journal of International Students (JIS), an academic, interdisciplinary, and peer-reviewed publication (Print ISSN 2162-3104 & Online ISSN 2166-3750), publishes scholarly peer-reviewed articles on international students in tertiary education, secondary education, and other educational settings that make significant contributions to research, policy, and practice in the internationalization of higher education. This special issue shares 7 papers related to international students and reflection by drawing on Rodgers’ four functions of reflection. We hope that the special issue is of value to the journal’s readership, particularly in regard to assisting both academic and support staff in universities with their work on reflection with international students.

I-COME’22 welcomes participants from all over the world who are interested in communication and media, especially how globalization and current situation affects the future landscape of the fields. The aim of the conference is to provide platform for scholars, researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to meet and share the advanced development and changes in both areas. The conference also hopes to discuss the innovative discovery of research level and promote international scientific cooperation and exchange of ideas among researchers and practitioners. We are pleased to introduce the proceedings of the second edition of the International Conference of Humanities and Social Science 2022 (ICHSS). The conference has brought researchers, developers, and practitioners around the world to write about their work in social and humanities research aimed at strengthening diversity. The theme of ICHSS 2022 is "Freedom to Learn in Education, Social, Religious, Culture, and Language Perspective."

This book shares a range of examples where international students have undertaken a work placement, practicum, internship or participated in work integrated learning. Contributions reflect on the successes and challenges that this particularly diverse group of students experience when undertaking work placement programs in a variety of disciplines, such as education, engineering and health. The book explores these experiences via three main conceptualisations: 1. Internationalisation and interculturalisation – including the diversity of international student cohorts and the associated policy, practices and assessment related to international students in higher education; 2. Multi-socialisation – of international students with a focus on new cultural contexts, professional learning and disciplinarity; and 3. Reflection and reflective practice – acknowledging that for improvement and change to occur those involved need to reflect on current and possible future practice. A working model of effective practice is introduced which can inform prospective international students, their mentors/supervisors, work placement coordinators and other relevant university staff.
