Synopsis Unusual by : Ilaa Verma
The novel, set in rural Bihar and Mumbai, is the beautiful journey of two girls—Jannat Kapoor, a carefree bird of high-class society and Nia Sharma, a caring person from the middle-class society who falls in love and breaks all the stereotype rules and regulations of society. A story about ISHQ . Generally, when we get hurt, we say ISHHH. And ISHQ is another name for love. We are living in a society where there is no ISHQ without pain. So pain and love are somewhat related. ISHH+Q=ISHQ. “Isliye dard ka doosra naam ISHQ.” The two girls found relief in this pain named ISHQ. When the society is not ready to accept the normal friendship of a girl and a boy, the biggest question is How will the society understand the “love” of “two girls? It is a story where a best friend breaks the trust of his friend with the mindset that he is doing right for his friend. It is a story that conveys a message to the society that a girl and a boy can only be friends. Only friends. This is a story that shows that “love is love, no matter with whom, but our society makes it ISHH, “a pain”.

Synopsis Images by : Shanth Sam D’cruz
A boy, weighed down by his past, torn between love and righteousness, seeks redemption, from his past, from events that spiralled out of his control. 'Images' tells the story of 'Jonah Daniel', through his own eyes. Though he is a normal teenager, he is one with a 'not so normal' past. The novel begins with a cherished memory of Jonah, a football match he played at school, which turns out to be the last memory he ever had with his Mom, Helen. The loner that he already was, the loss of his Mom, pushes Jonah further into deep corners of introversion. Feeling that, a change in surroundings would help him, he joins another school, and this is where the next part of the tale begins. He meets some very special characters. Badrinath, the intimidating but sympathetic badass, who becomes Jonah's friend. Vaiga Ranganathan, the girl about whom Jonah once wonders, the number of traits she has in common with Helen. Kritika, the senior girl, who always turns Jonah on. Jannat, a 3-year-old beauty, whom Jonah later calls, 'the light of my life'. Though Jonah never realises it, whatever had happened in his past, has always been a part of him. The way he thinks, the manner he feels, the demeanour with which he treats people, the kind of folks he is attracted to. The past has been leading and guiding Jonah for a long time, even without him knowing about it. The eventuality of an incident which Jonah could not prevent, finally brings his past onstage, which had been controlling him from behind the curtains for ever. How he deals with his past? The answer to this question, forms the crux of the story.

Synopsis Literature of the Early Twentieth Century: From the Constitutional Period to Reza Shah by : A. A. Seyed-Gohrab
The eleventh volume in this ground-breaking series pays special attention to politically engaged poetry, written during a turbulent period which saw the Constitutional Revolution in Iran as well as the rise to power of Reza Shah and his attempts to implement reform. Throughout this time, poets began to turn their attention towards the country's ordinary people, rather than concentrate on its elites. This volume also examines the prose fiction of the period, which saw the rise of the novel and short story. Additionally, Persian satire began to grow in importance, especially with the increased popularity of poets and novelists such as Iraj Mirza and Sadeq Hedayat. This wide-ranging volume is an invaluable companion for anyone who wants to understand how the Persian literary scene changed at the beginning of the twentieth century, reflecting the social and political contexts in which this literature was created
