This stunning selection of color views, dating from the period 1953-1980, includes most of the vessels operated during this period by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and The Ramsey Steamship Company. Embracing and Managing Change in Tourism examines management responses to the major changes taking place in international tourism and considers tourism itself as an agent of change. Comprised of six chapters, this volume begins with an overview of inland transport on land in Great Britain, with the exception of railways. Varieties of passenger movement are considered, together with measurement of passenger transport. The discussion then turns to the organization of passenger transport, with emphasis on private movement and taxis as well as public road passenger transport.
