The Inspec Thesaurus now incorporates Inspec's extended coverage and developments in terminology. Each record is indexed using controlled terms chosen from the Thesaurus to provide a powerful search aid. In addition to listing the controlled terms and lead-ins or cross reference terms, the Thesaurus gives further help by showing relationships between terms, dates on which they were added and terms in use before these dates. This new edition contains over 9,000 preferred terms, nearly 700 of which are exclusively for the new manufacturing and production engineering area.
