Summaries are given of research in the following fields: upper atmosphere physics, microwave physics, space physics, terrestrial sciences, optical physics, data sciences, meteorology, solid state, aerospace instrumentation.

The bibliography of AFCRL in-house technical reports lists all reports issued in the existing series. In addition, appendices list reports issued from 1962 to 1964 when series designations were not used, and reports issued in now-defunct series.

This classic opens with a history of the development of the infrared portion of the spectrum, probes the system engineering process, and then examines the characteristics of the successful system engineer. The next eleven chapters delve deeply into the elements of infrared technology. It contains nearly 1400 annotated references to the infrared literature of the world. The annotations summarize the content, describe the hardware, details its performance and examine the significant results. The references are carefully arranged, extensively indexed, and does not contain citations to the classified or report literature, a feature appreciated by most readers. For those readers having the necessary credentials, Appendix 4 is a guide to the unpublished and classified literature of the infrared.

A bibliography of lunar and planetary research articles published during 1965 is presented with both subject and author listings. The major subject categories are: astrobiology, comets, meteorite craters and cratering effects, meteors and meteorites, the moon, origin of the solar system, the planets, and tektites.
