Synopsis How to Write and Publish Effectively: Writing Support Group Guidelines by : Shyam Sharma

How to Write and Publish Effectively: Writing Support Group Guidelines This report describes a writing support and accountability program voluntarily organized by and for a grassroots community in South Asia. Organized early 2020 -- which happened to be in the middle of the first wave of the Covid-19 global pandemic -- this program recruited 24 scholars from a pool of 216 applicants from across South Asia (Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, and Pakistan). A sign up survey asked interested scholars, who were invited through networking/ snowballing on social media, to describe a research project from which they would like to write an academic journal manuscript, learning and implementing writing skills along the way. While they were encouraged to share an empirical research project with a social impact in mind, theoretical projects were also included. We have described the broader social context and challenges influencing the vision and mission

Synopsis The Namer of Spirits by : Todd Mitchell

“A dangerous town carved out of unforgiving forest, a young girl who can name spirits and tame monsters, a race against time to save the natural world: The Namer of Spirits is what readers want and the world needs.” –Eliot Schrefer, New York Times bestselling author In the frontier village of Last Hope, people dismiss twelve-year-old Ash Narro as a flighty child who claims to hear the true names of things. But when enraged forest spirits attack, Ash shows that the names she hears have power. After taming a destructive forest spirit, Ash teams up with Fen, a wild forest boy, and embarks on an unusual journey to save her village. In this steampunk eco-fantasy, the perils of deforestation and the power of friendship are explored through a fantastical adventure involving giant mistcats, tempestuous forest spirits, a supernatural puppy, and a girl with a special gift for shaping what things become.

Synopsis Writing Groups by : Anne Ruggles Gere

Drawing upon previously unpublished archival materials as well as historical accounts, Gere traces the history of writing groups in America, from their origins over a century ago to their recent reappearance in the works of Macrorie, Elbow, Murray, and others. From this historical perspective Gere examines the theoretical foundations of writing groups, challenging the traditional concept of writing as an individual performance. She offers instead a broader view of authorship that includes both individual and social dimensions, with implications not only for the teaching of composition but also for theories of rhetoric and literacy.

But when Kiri has an encounter with the last known Florida panther, her life is quickly turned on end. Caught between her conservationist father, who wants to send the panther to a zoo, and the village poachers, who want to sell it to feed their families, Kiri must embark on a journey that will take her deep into the wilderness. There has to be some way to save the panther, and for her dad and the villagers to understand each other. Synopsis The HERO Transformation Playbook by : Arif Harbott

Most transformations and large-scale change programs fail, but in a rapidly changing world change is becoming more and more critical for survival. The HERO Transformation Playbook is your step-by-step playbook of EXACTLY how to deliver successful transformations and large-scale change programs with the best chance of success using the HERO Transformation Framework: a clear method to help you design transformation for maximum enterprise value creation and then deliver the outcome in a repeatable fashion. We built our framework through trial and error, learning from our mistakes and successes and solving common issues we came across and pitfalls that we have seen time and again. We then spent many years honing the framework, removing the fluff, distilling the concepts until it contained everything you need to succeed in the challenging world of change. In this book we teach you everything we’ve learned – including all of the roles, processes, meetings, governance, and templates for you to follow and apply to your transformation today - so that you can crack the code of change and lead successful transformations on your own. The more successful transformations that are delivered, the better the world will be for everyone!
