This is an educational childrens story for children from five to twelve years of age. It is about a white kangaroo who was rescued as a joey by a mother and daughter in a suburban home. But the white kangaroo, Hippity Hoppity, got too big, so they decided to let him go in the bush. Hippity Hoppity was unsure what to eat, and when two little girls fed him some branches off a tree, he passed out. Cleverly, the little girls made a sled from their backpacks and dragged him to a doctor. The doctor managed to dislodge the leaves and drove Hippity Hoppity and the exhausted girls back to where the girls first found him. When they arrived, they noticed two red kangaroos eating from the same tree. They must have seen the girls feeding Hippity Hoppity with its branches and tried them for themselves. This is the lesson from this story: do not feed wild animals.

Hoppity-Hop is a plucky rabbit who knows to fight karate, which his grandfather taught him. All the animals in the forest live nicely and peacefully thanks to Hoppity, who defends them against naughty animals. He tries to convince everybody to eat carrots, but he’s not successful always. By using karate, he defeats and chases a lion who had kidnapped a baby deer. Another visitor is a fearful dragon, spitting fire. Hoppity uses his intelligence and lures him to a strawberry field, knowing that dragons are allergic to these fruits. The dragon gets ill, coughs, his nose is running, he can no longer spit fire and he cries desperately. The rabbit cures him with carrots and advises him to take everyday showers and brush his teeth, because he was very smelly. At last, an ogre kidnaps a beautiful rabbit girl and Hoppity uses again a trick to get the girl free. They fall in love and marry. The author is the best man at the wedding and is told to prepare himself to soon be a godfather.
