History of irish immigrants to wayne county pennsylvania, with emphasis on their experiences in building the delaware and hudson canal from 1825 to 1828, then working on its operation and maintenance as they settleld in the canal area's two main towns, Honesdale and Hawley. Prior to the canal construction, a few irish families settled in the county to engage in farming, tanning, logging. Photos, maps, bibliography, index included, 112 pages.
