This is the history of the Licking County Sheriff's Office in Newark Ohio. Bios of the Sheriff's from 1808 to 2004 are contained in this book as well as photos of uniforms, patrol cars, weapons, and stories of some of the criminals of the past.

The historic Licking County Jail in Newark, OH housed vicious murderers and saw the death of more than one Sheriff, who lived on the premises. The author has gathered folklore and documented facts to tell the stories of the inmates who lived there.
