John Higgins (b.ca. 1775) moved from Maryland to Scioto County, Ohio during or before 1806, and then to Wells County, Indiana. Descen- dants and relatives lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and elsewhere.

Samuel Ashby, son of James Samuel Ashby and Jane Alexander Watson, was born in 1867 near Pittsboro, Indiana. He married Ida Reid in 1894. They had three children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Kentucky and Indiana.
