Synopsis Hidden Treasures by : Arthur Eedle

Hidden Treasures The Authors have sought to present three of their treasures, opened up to them by the Lord over many years of study and contemplation. Each Treasure may be hotly contested by Evangelicals, but this did not deter them from presenting the information, in the hope that perhaps some of their readers will be delighted with the themes, thereby to expand their knowledge of God and His multicoloured wisdom.

Synopsis Hidden Treasures of the Spirit by : Andrea Davis

This book can be viewed as a study of prayer and The Names of God, as well as, used as a devotional guide into a more intimate relationship with Our Creator and Lord. It is a book to be experienced, not just read. You will begin by seeing how Genesis 22 is actually a guideline to HOW and WHEN to LISTEN for His Voice. Continuing with the theme of relationship with Him, we look into many of the passages that state "Lord" or "God", while the original Names called out "Creator", "Master", "Provider", and so much more. Each section ends with a prayer, thus leading you into reflections and thoughts of your own concerning what you have just read. Andrea Davis has a Master's Degree in Education and currently teaches at an alternative high school in Illinois. Nancy Radtke, who resides in Arizona and Illinois, has a degree in Occupational Therapy and is now a professional artist. Both authors are co-founders of In His Presence Prayer Ministries. IHPPM is a teaching ministry that seeks to help believers experience a deeper desire for The Presence of Their Heavenly Father, as well as, a more intimate relationship with Him.

Synopsis Marriage from the Heart by : Donald R. Downing

Marriage is God's idea. He has no bad ideas. He brought Eve to Adam, married them and they lived as husband and wife for over 900 years (Genesis 2:21-25 and 5:5). By this, we can conclude that divorce was not God's idea but Satan's idea, to destroy God's ideas, plans and purpose of marriage between a man and a woman. We seek to find the right person when the greater picture is to be the right person. Man sets the time for the wedding, but God sets the time for the marriage. There is a great difference between a wedding and a marriage. Many walk down the aisle to be wedded for all the wrong reasons. Saying "I do" and placing wedding rings upon fingers does not always mean they are married within their hearts. This book reveals that a man and a woman may marry, and yet not be a true husband and wife. It stresses the importance of friendship, courtship, engagement and being married from the heart. Introducing a revolutionary approach to the covenant of marriage, this book addresses commitment, romance, love, keeping a right heart, a sound mind and a pure relationship. Dr. Donald R. Downing is a heart physician and specialist from God to the body of Christ. He has written over 12 books, and considers Marriage from the Heart to be one of his most important writings. He believes the only way to defeat the high rate of divorce and separation is to restore romance to the relationship and to be truly married from the heart. FEATURING DRS. MELVIN AND ROBIN THORNHILL Melvin and Robin Thornhill are the founders and presidents of Destiny New Image Ministries. They have a combined 50 years of experience in family and marriage counseling.

Synopsis Hidden Treasures by : Molly Breckling

Gustav Mahler once said, “With song you can express so much more in the music than the words directly say. The text is actually a mere indication of the... hidden treasure within.” Over fourteen years, from 1887-1901, he devoted his compositional output almost exclusively to texts and ideas drawn from a collection of German folk poetry entitled Des Knaben Wunderhorn: Alte deutsche Lieder, resulting in twenty-four songs which heavily inspired his first four symphonies. This study explores Mahler’s songs based on this poetry and identifies the connections the composer found between these products of Germany’s folk past and his own contemporary environment. The songs he created comment on and engage with Vienna’s musical life, Freudian theory, Mahler’s religious life, his family relationships, his views on women and romance, economic inequality, and wartime violence. As remnants of a folk tradition, the poems contained in Des Knaben Wunderhorn served the purpose of instructing young people on ways of conducting themselves, just as fairy tales do today. Mahler’s adaptation of these stories and his updating of them to serve audiences of his own time demonstrate the universality of the lessons these poems provide, both to audiences of Mahler’s day, and also to our own.
