Synopsis Healing with Nature by : Susan S. Scott
Susan S. Scott is an experienced psychotherapist who, due to a back injury, was forced to abandon her therapist's couch and walk for therapy. Through her extended strolls through nature, she discovered the ingenious ability of trees to grow around obstacles and, in essence, heal themselves. The result of Dr. Scott's musings is Healing with Nature. This collection of stories and photos describes a different aspect of the healing process, matched with a corresponding tree image. Readers will learn how to observe their natural environment with fresh eyes, tap into their own self-healing powers, and discover creative ways to become the master of their own lives. An inspiring read for anyone with an interest in spiritual growth!

Synopsis Home Healing with Nature's Medicines by : Shamim Ahmed
Long before the advancement of science and the development of pharmaceutical products people relied on using natural things like leaves of trees, shrubs, and plants to cure the common ailments. They also used nuts, seeds, and roots of many plants, herbs and spices. Even some fruits are used to treat certain conditions. All these things are pure and natural with no harmful chemicals in them. There are no side effects to worry about. There is no harm in using these different things for common ailments before going to a physician. If they help you Praise to Almighty God! If these remedies will not help at least they will not harm you. Most of the things are found either in your kitchen or at any supermarket. Fruits are commonly available. Some herbs and spices you might have to look for at Chinese stores or Indian supermarkets. Not all fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices are covered in this book. There is lot of information for the seeker on internet, in libraries and book stores. But if someone wants a quick reference for very common ailments and the edibles that are good to maintain one’s health then this book will serve the purpose. Now a day there’s actual scientific research that backs up some of these home treatments. Some of them ease tension, forestall headaches, and ease pain. Some of them work wonders on minor problems. Some of them are good to maintain good health, and give you immediate results but some of them should be used for a longer period of time to take care of the problem. Even more some of the herbs are approved by FDA as safe to use. Try to save your trip to the physician. Save your money and time. I am not giving any diet plan to anyone. It’s all about keeping up with good health, and before any ailment or disease becomes chronic try these home remedies. They may be beneficial for your ailment. These are not a 100 percent sure treatment. But most of these remedies are tested by many people and they say they work. One of them might work for you. This book is intended to be a quick reference book, more like a handbook that can be consulted easily. It’s not like a heavy hard cover library edition that stays most of the time on the shelf. You will also find some recipes of meals, with or without meat, salads and soups, at the end of this book. Keep up with Healthy Living.

Synopsis Nature and Therapy by : Martin Jordan
Recent decades have seen an increasing interest in the healing and therapeutic potential of nature and interest in the potential of greencare interventions for the benefit of mental health. The field of nature based therapies is expanding in line with this interest. Nature and Therapy offers a unique contribution by outlining the specific processes involved in conducting counselling and psychotherapy sessions in outdoor natural environments. Central areas covered in the book include: A thorough exploration of the evidence for the psychological and healing potential of natural spaces; Developing a therapeutic rationale for nature based therapeutic work; Understanding the therapeutic relationship and the unique therapeutic processes that come into play in outdoor natural spaces; Translating indoor therapeutic work to outdoor contexts; The practicalities of setting up and running a therapy session outside of a room environment; Experiential exercises to explore the therapeutic potential of nature. Martin Jordan offers a clear outline of how to set up and hold a therapeutic session outdoors. Using case examples Nature and Therapy explores both the practicalities and the therapeutic processes that come into play in an outdoor natural setting. The book will be of use to counsellors, psychotherapists, arts therapists, psychologists and health professionals who are interested in taking their therapeutic work into natural environments and outdoor spaces.

Synopsis Ecotherapy by : Martin Jordan
In this thought-provoking book, Jordan and Hinds provide a comprehensive exploration of this emerging area of practice. Divided into three parts, the book offers a unique examination of a range of theoretical perspectives, unpacks the latest research and provides a wealth of illuminating practice examples, with a number of chapters dedicated to authors' own first-hand experiences of the positive psychological effects of having contact with nature. Whilst the idea of using nature to improve mental and emotional wellbeing has existed for many years, growing levels of interest in holistic, reciprocal relationships with nature have led to the development of ecotherapy as an explicit field of research. This is the much needed academically rigorous, yet engaging, introduction for counselling and psychotherapy students new to the subject as well as experienced professionals wanting to expand their understanding of this fast paced area of study and practice.
