Brom (1953) was born in Amsterdam. As a young man became fascinated by the many tugs in the Netherlands. Svitzer Marine operates 41 tugs in the UK and provides services in seven ports and six terminals; Adsteam provides harbour and terminal towage services in six of the UK's major deep-water ports and adjacent waterways.
