Synopsis Ground of the Devil by : Richard Rezendes
Ground of the Devil: Book Two By: Richard Rezendes Ground of the Devil: Book Two is the continuation of Ground of the Devil: Book One, beginning with its history and clean up, only to be surprised by one of the mother’s demons that terrorized Moodus and the Mohegan Sun Casino, a lizard-like creature with lots of tentacles, pincers, and a stinging tail like the mother. Other demons look like rats, dragons, crocodiles/alligators, lizards, hyenas, devil dogs, giant mosquitoes, bat birds, crawling worm siblings, demons looking like the mother, sea demons, whale shark giant sea monster devils, bigfoot monkey-looking demons. The devil's fourteen demons, some of them come from under the ground, traveling at a high rate of speed for its attack; some fly like prehistoric birds, and some live in the sea and spreads their venom. All fourteen demons have lobster-like claws and a scorpion stinger tail, and all of them are different but attack the same way as their mother. None of the demons spray fire like the mother, but they are all killing machines; however, they were put down by military force! A substance called “the pink blob slime jelly orange sand” was the devil's powerful venom, and all the demons have it. Some of the fourteen demons have siblings. The venom turns colors, and it's electrified and glows in the dark, looking like a moving jellyfish and terrorizing the globe with fear of the second coming of the devil.

Synopsis Sympathy for the Devil by : Kent Anderson
Kent Anderson's stunning debut novel is a modern classic, a harrowing, authentic picture of one American soldier's experience of the Vietnam War--"unlike anything else in war literature" (Los Angeles Review of Books). Hanson joins the Green Berets fresh out of college. Carrying a volume of Yeats's poems in his uniform pocket, he has no idea of what he's about to face in Vietnam--from the enemy, from his fellow soldiers, or within himself. In vivid, nightmarish, and finely etched prose, Kent Anderson takes us through Hanson's two tours of duty and a bitter, ill-fated return to civilian life in-between, capturing the day-to-day process of war like no writer before or since.

Synopsis The Devil Aspect by : Craig Russell
Steeped in the folklore of Eastern Europe, and set in the shadow of Nazi darkness erupting just beyond the Czech border, this bone-chilling, richly imagined novel is propulsively entertaining, and impossible to put down. "A wildly entertaining story...Russell has created a truly frightening story." —The New York Times Book Review Czechoslovakia, 1935: Viktor Kosárek, a newly trained psychiatrist who studied under Carl Jung, arrives at the infamous Hrad Orlu Asylum for the Criminally Insane. The facility is located in a medieval mountaintop castle surrounded by forests, on a site that is well known for concealing dark secrets going back many centuries. The asylum houses six inmates--the country's most treacherous killers--known to the terrified public as the Devil's Six. Viktor intends to use a new medical technique to prove that these patients share a common archetype of evil, a phenomenon he calls The Devil Aspect. Yet as he begins to learn the stunning secrets of these patients, he must face the unnerving possibility that these six may share a darker truth. Meanwhile, in Prague, fear grips the city as a phantom serial killer emerges in the dark alleys. Police investigator Lukas Smolak, desperate to locate the culprit (a copycat of Jack the Ripper), turns to Viktor and the doctors at Hrad Orlu for their expertise with the psychotic criminal mind. And Viktor finds himself wrapped up in a case more terrifying than he could have ever imagined.

Synopsis The Devil and Daniel Webster by : Stephen Vincent Benet
THE STORY: Jabez Stone, young farmer, has just been married, and the guests are dancing at his wedding. But Jabez carries a burden, for he knows that, having sold his soul to the Devil, he must, on the stroke of midnight, deliver it up to him. Shortly before twelve Mr. Scratch, lawyer, enters and the company is thunderstruck. Jabez bids his guests begone; he has made his bargain and will pay the price. His bride, however, stands by him, and so will Daniel Webster, who has come for the festivities. Webster takes the case. But Scratch is a lawyer himself and out-argues the statesman. Webster demands a jury of real Americans, living or dead. Very well, agrees the Devil, he shall have them, and ghosts appear. Webster thunders, but to no avail, and at last realizing Scratch can better him on technical grounds, he changes his tactics and appeals to the ghostly jury, men who have retained some love of country. Rising to the height of his powers, Webster performs the miracle of winning a verdict of Not Guilty.

For most of that time she was unaware of Satan’s most formidable weapon used against Christians - Fiery Darts. Since becoming aware of this weapon, Satan’s motives for using it, and how to wield the power of God’s Word against it, Janet’s release from years of captivity has been wondrously secured. Most people agree that negative thinking can have a debilitating effect on a person’s life. But just knowing this does little to help combat such thinking. By comparing negative thinking to the weapon of fiery darts, Janet exposes the weapon and the tactics used by Satan to manipulate.
