Green Acres teachers and families have always recognized that visiting places outside the classroom is an important way children and adults learn about the world. For nearly 60 years, our community has upheld a tradition of sharing our splendid adventure in and around Washington. In that time, Going Places has grown from a mimeographed pamphlet to a guidebook of more than 400 places to visit. It is the longest-running and most comprehensive guides to family outings and explorations in and around Washington.
