"English was never one of my favourite subjects at school and until completing this book I had only written a few poems over the last couple of years. Then, at the beginning of summer 2014, I started getting poems in my mind, and I had to write them down. First I would get a title, then the first verse. I would then start to write. At the beginning of each poem, I would never know how the poem would end. Sometimes I had an idea how they would finish. Friends in the church Janet and Jacqueline gave me great support and encouragement to continue this work. At first most poems did not rhyme, then I got the last two lines to rhyme. The Psalms do not rhyme but they are recognised as the best poems ever written. Then the poems started to rhyme. So in the book you will find rhyming, part-rhyming and non-rhyming poems, I hope you like them all..."

This book is made up of many quotes that I thought up mostly while I was doing time in prison after I found Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. The same goes for the poems and the short writings. You will notice that the chapter headings are the nine fruits of the spirits that are listed in Galatians 5:16-26. The holy scriptures tell us that we must build our faith in God Almighty and Jesus Christ. I hope through reading these quotes and short messages that the person reading this will increase their faith or come to find that Jesus Christ and God Almighty are real.

This little book of poems and short stories is dedicated to my children, who gave me the will to fight for my life. Also, I want to thank my doctors, nurses, family, friends, and those who have fought breast cancer and lived to tell their story. I had to keep a positive attitude in order to beat cancer. I lost my mother and several close friends to this disease. When I heard the word cancer, the first thing that came to my mind was that I was going to die with cancer like my mother. This little book will make you laugh or cry. Writing this little book took me nine years. I am doing God's will by helping, talking, and sharing my story with you. God spared my life for a reason. It was not for me to dwell on what has befallen me but to encourage and be encouraged. I am reaching out to help others. Read this Christ-inspired book.
