The purpose of this study was to define the beach erosion, storm wave damage, and related coastal problems along the shore at St. Joseph Sound at the city of Dunedin, Florida; and to determine the most practical, economical, and least environmentally damaging methods of alleviating those problems. The study disclosed that Federal participation in the construction of beach erosion control works along the city's 0.8 mile of bay shore is warranted. The selected plan provides protection and stabilization along 4,100 feet of eroding shore by construction of a Florida limerock revetment.
