Synopsis The Handbook of Experimental Economics, Volume 2 by : John H. Kagel

An indispensable survey of new developments and results in experimental economics When The Handbook of Experimental Economics first came out in 1995, the notion of economists conducting lab experiments to generate data was relatively new. Since then, the field has exploded. This second volume of the Handbook covers some of the most exciting new growth areas in experimental economics, presents the latest results and experimental methods, and identifies promising new directions for future research. Featuring contributions by leading practitioners, the Handbook describes experiments in macroeconomics, charitable giving, neuroeconomics, other-regarding preferences, market design, political economy, subject population effects, gender effects, auctions, and learning and the economics of small decisions. Contributors focus on key developments and report on experiments, highlighting the dialogue between experimenters and theorists. While most of the experiments consist of laboratory studies, the book also includes several chapters that report extensively on field experiments related to the subject area studied. Covers exciting new growth areas in experimental economics Features contributions by leading experts Describes experiments in macroeconomics, charitable giving, neuroeconomics, market design, political economy, gender effects, auctions, and more Highlights the dialogue by experimenters with theorists and each other Includes several chapters covering field experiments related to the subject area studied

Synopsis Spirit Tutor by : R. Crafton Gibbs

"Logos 3 is the fourth of my ten-volume, Logos 1-7 work, each volume of which is able to stand alone as God’s Book of Life. It took me over 3,000 pages in ten volumes to say How and What is Important to Believe. It seeks to explain by experience who Jesus is, who God is, who the Holy Spirit is, what the Bible is, why it is crucial to life that we believe in them, what “belief” is, what “to be saved” is, just how Salvation is effected, what the “take-away” benefits are, and how to find meaning and purpose in life. “As said, each of these ten volumes is able to stand alone as God’s Book of Life, portraying Life with the Holy Spirit by belief in the Christ of Jesus as Savior to eternal life with God. The ten volumes relate my Story of Writing God's Book of Life, using nonfiction essays and poetry with daily help of divine intervention in producing the seven-Logos Work of ten volumes, and the four supporting volumes. All seek to fully understand and explain this work inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Christ of Jesus. “The action of God fulfilled for him in seven years all of Rodger Crafton's dreams of becoming a writer of poetry and prose, an armchair philosopher, and an artist working in his new, upstairs garage atelier.”---R. Crafton Gibbs

Synopsis Oxford Studies in Experimental Philosophy, Volume 2 by : Tania Lombrozo

The new field of experimental philosophy has emerged as the methods of psychological science have been brought to bear on traditional philosophical issues. Oxford Studies in Experimental Philosophy is the place to go to see outstanding new work in the field. It features papers by philosophers, papers by psychologists, and papers co-authored by people in both disciplines. The series heralds the emergence of a truly interdisciplinary field in which people from different disciplines are working together to address a shared set of questions. This second volume in the series is divided into three sections that explore epistemology, moral and political philosophy, and metaphysics and mind.

Synopsis Experimental Researches by : C.G. Jung

After joining the staff of the Burgholzli Mental Hospital in 1900, Jung developed and applied the word-association tests for studying normal and abnormal psychology. The studies have remained a significant phase in the development of Jung's conceptions and an important contribution to diagnostic psychology and psychiatry. Between 1904 and 1907 he published nine studies on the tests. These studies, together with two lectures on the association method given in 1909 at Clark University and three articles on psychophysical researches from American and English journals in 1907-1908, compose this volume. Jung's association studies showed the definite influence of Bleuler and also of Freud, with whom he worked closely for several years. With this volume, the Collected Works are complete except for the Miscellany, Bibliography and Index volumes.

Synopsis Experiments in Personality: Volume 2 (Psychology Revivals) by : H. J. Eysenck

Originally published in 1960, the two volumes of Experiments in Personality report a number of experiments in psychogenetics, psychopharmacology, psychodiagnostics, psychometrics and psychodynamics, all of which formed part of the programme of research which had been developing from the late 1940s at the Maudsley Hospital. Presenting the studies together in a book, rather than the more usual route of journal articles, was itself felt to be an experiment at the time, especially given the wide area covered. The decision was deliberate because all the studies reported formed part of a larger whole, which would have been lost if published separately. Volume II looks at psychodiagnostics, psychodynamics and psychometrics.
