Excavations at the Ugwuagu Rockshelter and Ugwuagu Abandoned Village Sites in Afikpo uncovered a sequence of archaeological levels reflecting change in subsistence strategies from the Late Stone Age up to the present. The vidence contributes to our understanding of the emergence of agricultural economies in Africa.
