This book presents the proceedings of 4th EAI International Conference on Smart Technology (MTYMEX), which took place March 28-29, 2024, Vancouver, B.C., Canada. MTYMEX is an international conference aimed at demonstrating the potential of new applications for the Internet in the future. The authors offer perspectives on research on smart technologies in society, including the results of research projects on virtual reality, block chain, artificial intelligence, and smart cities. This book constitutes the proceedings of the Third International Conference on Smart Grid and Innovative Frontiers in Telecommunications, SmartGIFT, held in Auckland, New Zealand, in April 2018. The 28 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 44 submissions. They focus on smart grid as the next generation of electrical grid, which will enable the smart integration of conventional, renewable and distributed power generation, energy storage, transmission and distribution, and demand management. This book constitutes the jointly proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Edge Processing in the IoT Era, Edge-IoT 2022, and the 4th International Conference on Smart Governance for Sustainable Smart Cities, SmartGov 2022. This volume, SGIoT 2020, constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th EAI International Conference on Smart Grid and Internet of Things, SGIoT 2020, held in TaiChung, Taiwan, in December 2020.
