"A Seat in the Crowd" is about travelling the length and breadth of England and Europe in order to watch Manchester United. It is about the lifelong journey of two supporters (with the help of one or two friends along the way) who have been following their club for over 40 years each. A lifetime's support which has enjoyed a renaissance over the last decade due to the superb management of Alex Ferguson, who has taken the team, and consequently us too, to heights never before scaled. At the start of any season no-one can possibly know the outcome. Plenty think they do, but that is mere blind faith. It is an adventure which happens every year and these last few years have been very special to United supporters and most especially to us. Through the internet and the Manchester United mailing lists some of us have found friendship which will last the test of time. Apart from family, none of us mentioned in this book knew each other four years ago, but we are now a group of friends who have become an extended family. "A Seat in the Crowd" is just as much about these people as it is about the team on the pitch.

The book, “The Danger of the Crowd” evokes a feeling of agoraphobia by its title, but upon reading the content, one would be accompanied into a world of anamnesis by a reflective seminarian whose creative mind is second to none. The book is premised in the uniqueness of an individual and his inherent potential of making it to the high echelons of life without necessarily being a man of the crowd; that is, someone whose decisions and actions are being determined by the crowd. Suffice it to say that greatness evolves from singleness, in the right disposition of it; while failure might take its root from the influence of the crowd. By dint of birth, we are launched into the world just as death takes us away from the world. The two events are imperative accounts of our mission here on earth and they are divine calls which must be answered by an individual alone. This makes our individualities a necessary seed to fertilize the larger goal of life, our life’s purpose. Aptly, Izuchukwu Onuh uses eagle eyes to narrate the contemporary challenges in our society which stem from our personal lifestyles and misunderstood self-identities and how these challenges blunt the edges of our social life and make the social system a rotten one. Deploying moving stories and garnished styles of writing, he calls our minds to a life of quietude and solitude, the very state in which God can be encountered and good decisions made. A masterpiece, this book is as timely as it is all-round nourishing, especially in the present Nigerian situation that is challenged daily by noise: many speakers and few listeners. Take this book and do a simple exercise: withdraw from talking and listen to the author’s voice and your own responding voice that would soon form a paragon, a promising breed!

Whether we need to make better financial choices, find the love of our life, or transform our career, crowdsourcing is the key to making quicker, wiser, more objective decisions. But few of us even come close to tapping the full potential of our online personal networks. Lior Zoref offers proven guidelines for applying what he calls "mind sharing" in new ways. For instance, he shows how a mother's Facebook update saved the life of a four-year-old boy, and how a manager used LinkedIn to create a year's worth of market research in less than a day. Zoref's clients are using his techniques to innovate and problem-solve in record time. Now he reveals how crowdsourcing has the ability to supercharge our thinking and upgrade every aspect of our lives.

Written by Matrix Thompson & Sarika Khambaita and published by the Pamper Me Network, " Who Is Winning The Social Media and Crowd Funding War: The Battle For Good Vs Evil” is the final installment in “The Greatest Con In The History Of The Human Race" ebook series. The three part series takes a fresh look at social networking, crowd funding & Internet-based marketing systems, with a focus on teaching individuals and small business owners how they can level the playing field, share in the bounty the Internet offers and market like multinational corporations. Who Is Winning The Social Media and Crowd Funding War : The Battle For Good Vs Evil quickly summarizes the lessons learned in Volume I and Volume II of “The Greatest Con In The History Of The Human Race”—by drawing upon case studies of two of the largest social media networks and their very different approaches to interacting with their users. One social media network designs, implements and deploys collaborative strategies for users that creates opportunities for everyone, and the other develops collaborative strategies to create wealth for a few. While the “The Greatest Con In The History Of The Human Race” ebook series is extremely critical of some Internet business models and Internet entrepreneurs who are described in “Volume I” as the “Forces For Good” and the “Forces For Evil”, Who Is Winning The Social Media and Crowd Funding War: The Battle For Good Vs Evil attempts to demonstrate that it is indeed possible to engage all Internet users to share in the bounty that the Internet and new technologies offer by supporting socially responsible marketing strategies. We hope that you read all three ebooks with an open mind, and implement some of the ideas to: · Combine your social power with the crowd to market virtually any type of product or service; · Launch more innovative marketing strategies that benefits not only your business but the entire community; · Insure yourself against failure by joining social media networks powered by Social Rewards technology; · Grow your business while helping others to succeed. And for crowd funders, we hope you use the secrets you discover to: · Combine your personal network with that of millions of social influencers to make virtually anyone successful and create generational wealth; · Launch more successful crowd funding campaigns; · Share in the success of competing crowd funding campaigns; · Earn rewards & related bonuses when other crowd funders build their teams. · Reward donors & fans for supporting crowd funding projects, FOREVER; · Share in the revenues realized as crowd funding portals grow; · Share in ongoing sales generated from products pre-sold on a crowd funding platform; · Promote crowd funding campaign to the mass media and, or general Internet community; · Recruit and reward donors; · Enhance donor & fan acquisition with powerful viral marketing tools.

Often overlooked, the student demonstration at Bowling Green State University was the first and most successful 1960s campus protest - and a key point in the transition from 1950s social mores to 1960s activism. What began as a protest against outdated rules about dating and student behaviour quickly turned toward political objectives about civil liberties and ousted the university president. The authors, two of whom were present on campus during the demonstration, tell the story of how what began as dissent against old schoolmarm rules quickly turned into a fully-fledged 1960s crusade, with new issues and tactics. Feminist activists played a leading role, and the uprising succeeded in advancing the civil liberties of women. Drawing on the sociological ideas of Weber, Durkheim, and Marx, this book depicts how young activists broke the 1950s mold, little aware that many of their ideals would be echoed in many important 1960s protests. It is a vivid portrait of how the 1950s became the 1960s in America.

The Legacy of Haguesville is a satirical look at the rough and tumble world of local government, politics and the inner workings of campaigns as seen through a mythical election for a Congressional seat in New Jersey in 2002. It is laced with historical fiction from the late 1960s and early 1970s taken from the exploits of the Hudson County Political Machine; an organization that in its heyday rivaled Cook County Chicago as the most ruthless and well oiled political operation in America. It is also the story of redemption for a fallen political figure trying to right the wrongs from his past by backing the efforts of Joe Davis, a 1,000 to a shot Rocky type candidate who finds the courage to take on the entrenched twelve term Congressman Benjamin Dover, who runs Hudson City with an iron fist. After stumbling upon an unaddressed environmental hazard (and with a bit of divine inspiration) the upstart candidate has a punchers chance to pull off a political upset for the ages. His hopes though rest in the hands of a fourteen year old protg, a Bible thumping African-American woman from the Projects, a radical left wing Councilwoman and an eighty year old mystery man.
