Reliable source on water law contains updated court decisions from hundreds of case and statutory changes in several states. There is an added discussion on surface use of waters in light of the increased importance of public recreational water uses. Throughout the edition, where appropriate, analysis expands on the subjects of instream flow protection, water quality, and public-interest concerns in water use and water collection.

This book collects the papers in the special issue "Airborne Laser Scanning" in Remote Sensing (Nov. 2016) and several other selected papers published in the same journal in the past few years. Our intention is to reflect recent technological developments and innovative techniques in this field. Managing wildland fire in the U.S. is a challenge increasing in complexity & magnitude. The goals & actions presented in this report encourage a proactive approach to wildland fire to reduce its threat. Five major topic areas on the subject are addressed: the role of wildland fire in resource management; the use of wildland fire; preparedness & suppression; wildland/urban interface protection; & coordinated program management.
