Synopsis Confessions of a Sinister Minister by : Dick Huser
Dick Huser tells his story of theology schools and mainstream churches from inside out. It is a story drawn from the raw materials of the human condition. It is a profile of real people who turn to pastors from a myriad of motives. It is the story of his own progress and regress and regeneration, as he struggled with the paradoxical nature of church history, ancient creeds, modern interpretations, and the clash of a dramatically new culture with traditional credos. The vulnerability of his journey is exposed for all to see, and the healing influence of family, friends and colleagues becomes happily apparent.

Synopsis Grappling with Representation in the WWE by : Lowery A. Woodall III
In this book, Lowery A. Woodall III explores the ways that diverse populations are portrayed, stereotyped, and sometimes villainized in the WWE’s colorful and dramatic programming. Each chapter examines the surprisingly complex and multilayered representation of marginalized populations throughout the modern history of the WWE under the leadership of Vincent K. McMahon. Through weekly shows like Raw and SmackDown, pay-per-view spectaculars like WrestleMania, and a vast library of wrestling-related material on their streaming platform, Woodall argues that the WWE and McMahon have created calculated and carefully curated representations of diversity that are viewed by millions of fans worldwide. What effects do those representations have on the men, women, and children who consume WWE content? How are wrestlers and performers impacted by their on-screen portrayals? This book explores these questions and demonstrates that when representations are inaccurate or problematic, more than just kayfabe is in danger of being broken. Scholars of professional wrestling studies, media studies, and communication studies will find this book of particular interest.

Synopsis The Church's Confession Under Hitler by : Arthur C. Cochrane
THEOLOGICAL PUBLISHERS - 2 : PICKWICK PRESS (1974-1980) - PICKWICK PUBLICATIONS (1982-) by Dikran Y. Hadidian Upon my return in September of 1973 from my sabbatical year in Beirut, where I had time to think through the initial plan of publishing dissertations, I approached the president of a local commercial printing company who also happened to be a friend. He, after several days of consideration, gave me the green light to go ahead and plan publications of theological monographs at the company's expense. I served as general editor fully responsible in all decisions to negotiate with authors, translators and editors of collected essays on the possible publication of their works. Thus BULLETIN ABTAPL VOL.2 N0.7 13 MARCH, 1990 in 1974 the Pickwick-Morcroft Company began to publish monographs under the name of Pickwick Press. The first series was called the Pittsburgh Theological Monograph Series together with two other series, namely Pittsburgh Reprint Series and Pittsburgh Original Texts and Translations Series. These continued until 1980, when the president of Pickwick-Morcroft suffered a stroke and his successor was not interested in continuing the previous arrangement. Dikran Y. Hadidian, Editor and Publisher, Pickwick Publications

Synopsis The Testament of Gideon Mack by : James Robertson
A critical success on both sides of the Atlantic, this darkly imaginative novel from Scottish author James Robertson takes a tantalizing trip into the spiritual by way of a haunting paranormal mystery. When Reverend Gideon Mack, a good minister despite his atheism, tumbles into a deep ravine called the Black Jaws, he is presumed dead. Three days later, however, he emerges bruised but alive-and insistent that his rescuer was Satan himself. Against the background of an incredulous world, Mack's disturbing odyssey and the tortuous life that led to it create a mesmerizing meditation on faith, mortality, and the power of the unknown.
