Synopsis Advances in Artificial and Human Intelligence in the Modern Era by : Rajest, S. Suman
In the realm of psychological and brain sciences, there is a growing urgency to refine individual performance using personalized interventions that account for unique cognitive and biological attributes. Yet, the quest for such tailored approaches has proven challenging, as conventional methods often fall short. The limited integration of domain expertise and human judgment curtails the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in effectively optimizing human performance, particularly in areas like customized training, health monitoring, and cognitive enhancement. Bridging the gap between AI capabilities and the specific requirements of individuals becomes crucial in meeting this rising demand. Advances in Artificial and Human Intelligence in the Modern Era present a transformative solution to tackle the prevailing challenges at the intersection of AI and human performance enhancement. This book delves deeply into the latest empirical research, literature reviews, and methodological advancements to introduce precision AI techniques for personalized interventions. By examining how the amalgamation of domain expertise and human insights can enhance AI performance, the book establishes a comprehensive framework for modeling individual distinctions and devising effective, tailored AI approaches. Tailored for academic scholars and researchers in psychological and brain sciences, computer science, and related fields, this book provides a comprehensive exploration of pioneering advancements in the convergence of artificial and human intelligence. Its diverse chapters encompass a wide array of topics, including the identification of mental health concerns, integration of human intelligence into AI tools, enhancement of reliability, and exploration of data standards. As it fuses expertise from these two disciplines, the book paves the way for a new era of personalized interventions with the potential to revolutionize human cognitive enhancement, training, and overall well-being.

Synopsis Research Tendencies and Prospect Domains for AI Development and Implementation by : Yuriy P. Kondratenko
This River Rapid explores artificial intelligence (AI) implementation priorities, prospect domains, and new research tendencies and trends for AI development and implementation. Part 1 is devoted to the world’s priorities in AI implementation. Its main components are based on the analysis of the 50 National strategies for AI development, the world’s and NATO’s priorities in AI’s implementation, and methodological aspects for creating the Ukrainian AI conception and strategy, key priority areas for the introduction of AI in Ukraine, the conscience approach to AI systems design, and the discussion on the new generation computer system with embedded AI. Special attention is paid to perspectives of AI implementation in education and interrelation and inter-influence between AI and educational systems. Part 2 is devoted to some new tendencies in AI development and implementation. Many scientific results and discussions are directed to some new trends in contemporary AI research: AI systems and tools for shipping and shipbuilding; quantum computing and color optical fuzzy computing in applied AI’s R&D; AI for increasing the efficiency of the decision-making processes; neural networks for solving classification and recognition tasks. This book provides an overview of the recent developments in advanced AI systems including new theoretical findings and successful examples of practical implementation of the AI tools in different areas of human activities. The chapters are presented by invited high-caliber scientists from different countries (Ukraine, the United States of America, Poland, Norway, and the People’s Republic of China).

Synopsis Intelligent Engineering Systems and Computational Cybernetics by : J.A. Tenreiro Machado
Engineering practice often has to deal with complex systems of multiple variable and multiple parameter models almost always with strong non-linear coupling. The conventional analytical techniques-based approaches for describing and predicting the behaviour of such systems in many cases are doomed to failure from the outset, even in the phase of the construction of a more or less appropriate mathematical model. These approaches normally are too categorical in the sense that in the name of “modelling accuracy” they try to describe all the structural details of the real physical system to be modelled. This can significantly increase the intricacy of the model and may result in a enormous computational burden without achieving considerable improvement of the solution. The best paradigm exemplifying this situation may be the classic perturbation theory: the less significant the achievable correction, the more work has to be invested to obtain it. A further important component of machine intelligence is a kind of “structural uniformity” giving room and possibility to model arbitrary particular details a priori not specified and unknown. This idea is similar to the ready-to-wear industry, which introduced products, which can be slightly modified later on in contrast to tailor-made creations aiming at maximum accuracy from the beginning. These subsequent corrections can be carried out by machines automatically. This “learning ability” is a key element of machine intelligence. The past decade confirmed that the view of typical components of the present soft computing as fuzzy logic, neural computing, evolutionary computation and probabilistic reasoning are of complementary nature and that the best results can be applied by their combined application. Today, the two complementary branches of Machine Intelligence, that is, Artificial Intelligence and Computational Intelligence serve as the basis of Intelligent Engineering Systems. The huge number of scientific results published in Journal and conference proceedings worldwide substantiates this statement. The present book contains several articles taking different viewpoints in the field of intelligent systems.

Synopsis Philosophy of Complex Systems by :
The domain of nonlinear dynamical systems and its mathematical underpinnings has been developing exponentially for a century, the last 35 years seeing an outpouring of new ideas and applications and a concomitant confluence with ideas of complex systems and their applications from irreversible thermodynamics. A few examples are in meteorology, ecological dynamics, and social and economic dynamics. These new ideas have profound implications for our understanding and practice in domains involving complexity, predictability and determinism, equilibrium, control, planning, individuality, responsibility and so on.Our intention is to draw together in this volume, we believe for the first time, a comprehensive picture of the manifold philosophically interesting impacts of recent developments in understanding nonlinear systems and the unique aspects of their complexity. The book will focus specifically on the philosophical concepts, principles, judgments and problems distinctly raised by work in the domain of complex nonlinear dynamical systems, especially in recent years.-Comprehensive coverage of all main theories in the philosophy of Complex Systems -Clearly written expositions of fundamental ideas and concepts -Definitive discussions by leading researchers in the field -Summaries of leading-edge research in related fields are also included
