Romanian Finnish Seminar on Complex Analysis

This valuable collection of articles presents the latest methods and results in complex analysis and its applications. The present trends in complex analysis reflected in the book are concentrated in the following research directions: Clifford analysis, complex dynamical systems, complex function spaces, complex numerical analysis, qusiconformal mapping, Riemann surfaces, Teichmller theory and Klainian groups, several complex variables, and value distribution theory.

The papers in this volume cover a wide variety of topics in the geometric theory of functions of one and several complex variables, including univalent functions, conformal and quasiconformal mappings, and dynamics in infinite-dimensional spaces. In addition, there are several articles dealing with various aspects of Lie groups, control theory, and optimization. Taken together, the articles provide the reader with a panorama of activity in complex analysis and quasiconformal mappings, drawn by a number of leading figures in the field. The companion volume (Contemporary Mathematics, Volume 554) is devoted to general relativity, geometry, and PDE.

The book contains 13 articles, some of which are survey articles and others research papers. Written by eminent mathematicians, these articles were presented at the International Workshop on Complex Analysis and Its Applications held at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. All the contributing authors are actively engaged in research fields related to the topic of the book. The workshop offered a comprehensive exposition of the recent developments in geometric functions theory, planar harmonic mappings, entire and meromorphic functions and their applications, both theoretical and computational. The recent developments in complex analysis and its applications play a crucial role in research in many disciplines.
