H.R. 5038 and similar bills, to create a U.S. Correction Service within the Justice Dept and establish an Advisory Corrections Council to consider problems of treatment and correction of persons convicted of crimes against the U.S.H.R. 5384 and similar bills, to provide for better control of interstate traffic in firearms. H.R. 5385 and similar bills, to establish a Federal Judicial Center to coordinate and conduct research activities concerning all aspects of the Federal judicial administration and to establish education programs for law enforcement officers. H.R. 5386 and similar bills, to protect the right of privacy by prohibiting wire interception and eavesdropping.
