Featuring a clear and concise translation of some of the old German hymns that were used in the Medieval Church this volume contains both series of the Lyra Germanica for students to read and study with the hopes that these poems will help someone to discover the old nuances in medieval poetry and also to draw closer to God. While these hymns may seem hard to sing or even digest at times, they are an important part of the history of the Christian Church that to ignore them would be a great disservice to everything that Christian theologians have fought for in the last two thousand years since the coming and resurrection of the only true Lord, Jesus Christ.
