In this book, I hope to guide my fellow colleagues into the intricacies of Chinese Medicine Traumatology and the use of Master Tung's Acupuncture in Acute Care, and share the principles and concepts that make it a highly useful in the clinical setting. I discuss here the principles and concepts that are used in the clinic and practical use to the Licensed Acupuncturist who is also studied in Chinese Herbal Medicine. The Chinese Martial Artist will also like my approach, as I give the background on the herbology of Dit Da (Traumatology), the composition of formulas, discuss many famous remedies and their constitution, teach to make your own custom Rx's, and use common patents for acute care, and in addition, use classical and Master Tung's Acupuncture. This has not been done before by any Tung practitioner. The book is extensively done in Pin Yin and Chinese characters to help practitioners new to the subject to be able to cross reference the herbals in other books. There are thousands of prescriptions for Traumatology and Orthopedics and after studying the subject for over 30 years and reading major books on the subject in Chinese, I distilled the essentials and approached the work in a practical straightforward manner to use clinically on a daily basis. It is hoped that the reader can use these principles and concepts here and achieve amazing results in his or her practice, as these are what I use in my own practice daily with amazing results!

Synopsis Complete Book of Chinese Medicine by : Kiew Kit, Wong
The Complete Book of Chinese Medicine is the result of years of research and study by a world renowned Shaolin Grandmaster, Sifu Wong Kiew Kit, who has an excellent track record in curing many so-called “incurable diseases” like cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, sexual inadequacy, kidney failure, rheumatism and asthma using chi kung therapy. The aim of this exciting book is to introduce the wonderful and unique concept behind Chinese medicine. Thus this book will be indispensable to everyone with an interest in Chinese medicine and to those who find that Western medicine does not have all the answers after all. The book includes: * The history, development and the main features of Chinese medicine. * Strategies and tactics when diagnosing and treating patients. * How modern societies, including Western medical doctors and research scientists, can benefit from a deeper and holistic understanding of Chinese medicine. * Case studies.

Synopsis Basic Theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine by : Hongcai Wang
Traditional Chinese medicine has a long and complex history, yet the basic principles at the heart of practice have remained the same for hundreds of years. Without a solid understanding of these fundamental theories, effective practice is impossible, and this book provides a complete introduction to everything that students and practitioners, both new and experienced, need to know. The book describes and explains all of the fundamental principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including yin/yang, the five elements, the 'zang and fu' organs, Zang Xiang, Qi, and the meridians and collaterals of the body. Explaining not only the principles upon which these elements work, but also how they interrelate, the book describes how they can be used in practice to identify, treat and prevent ill-health and disease. This thorough and accessible textbook, compiled by the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC), under the editorial directorship of leading Chinese clinicians Zhu Bing and Wang Hongcai, is essential reading for students of traditional Chinese medicine, and is also a useful basic reference for TCM practitioners.

Synopsis The Transmission of Chinese Medicine by : Elisabeth Hsu
This is one of the first studies of traditional medical education in an Asian country. Conducting extensive fieldwork in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province in the People's Republic of China, Elisabeth Hsu became the disciple of, a Qigong master a scholarly private practitioner, who almost wordlessly conveys esoteric knowledge and techniques; attended seminars given by a senior Chinese doctor, an acupuncturist and masseur, who plunges his followers into the study of arcane medical classics, and studied with students at the Yunnan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where the standardised knowledge of official Chinese medicine is inculcated. Dr Hsu compares the theories and practices of these different Chinese medical traditions and shows how the same technical terms may take on different meanings in different contexts. This is a fascinating, insider's account of traditional medical practices, which brings out the way in which the context of instruction shapes knowledge.

Synopsis Reproducing Women by : Yi-Li Wu
This innovative book uses the lens of cultural history to examine the development of medicine in Qing dynasty China. Focusing on the specialty of "medicine for women"(fuke), Yi-Li Wu explores the material and ideological issues associated with childbearing in the late imperial period. She draws on a rich array of medical writings that circulated in seventeenth- to nineteenth-century China to analyze the points of convergence and contention that shaped people's views of women's reproductive diseases. These points of contention touched on fundamental issues: How different were women's bodies from men's? What drugs were best for promoting conception and preventing miscarriage? Was childbirth inherently dangerous? And who was best qualified to judge? Wu shows that late imperial medicine approached these questions with a new, positive perspective.
