Synopsis Budgie and Sissy's Adventure by : Jane Lowrey-Christian
True incidents and memories from the viewpoint of the author, as a small girl in North Missouri, on a farm, along with her brothers and the influence her parents and grandparents played in their lives. All ages will enjoy reading the interactions of Budgie and Sissy as they struggle with decisions and lessons learned and react to each situation only as children can. The stories took place during the Depression and drought in the 1930s. The author is the only living member of her family mentioned in these pages and would not have had the courage to write these words as she remembers them, if they were here looking over her shoulder. She was very shy as a child and would have been embarrassed to have her family know her true feelings. This book expresses her love as a child for her family and the love she feels now as an adult when they are in her memories.

Quackless Duck is fortunate to be living a life of comfort in a bathtub, as a rubber duck, who has two little bear pals for his friends. Quackless is washed away in a flood, and rescued by a lovable little dog named Bailey who takes him home with her. But Quackless gets homesick for his pals and talks Bailey into taking him to find them. From that point, Quackless is visited by his dream angel several times and with each visit his life changes. He learns how to adjust to each problem he encounters and learns how to solve his own problems. He makes many new friends, and learns to love his enemies. The inspiration for this story of Quackless started with a Yard Duck that was equipped with a sensor, and could quack when someone or something passed by, but lost this ability with time and age. {It is also available in a series of seven books that are fully illustrated in full color by the Author, for small Children. Synopsis The Thorn Birds by : Colleen McCullough
“Beautiful….Compelling entertainment.” —New York Times One of the most beloved novels of all time, The Thorn Birds, Colleen McCullough’s sweeping family saga of dreams, titanic struggles, dark passions, and forbidden love in the Australian Outback, returns to enthrall a new generation. The Thorn Birds is a chronicle of three generations of Clearys—an indomitable clan of ranchers carving lives from a beautiful, hard land while contending with the bitterness, frailty, and secrets that penetrate their family. It is a poignant love story, a powerful epic of struggle and sacrifice, a celebration of individuality and spirit. Most of all, it is the story of the Clearys' only daughter, Meggie, and the haunted priest, Father Ralph de Bricassart—and the intense joining of two hearts and souls over a lifetime, a relationship that dangerously oversteps sacred boundaries of ethics and dogma. “A heart-rending epic…truly marvelous.” —Chicago Tribune

Synopsis Hitchhiking in America: Using the Golden Thumb by : Dale Carpenter
"Though it tends to be looked down upon as a trivial activity confined to vagrants, the feeble-minded, sex maniacs and serial killers, hitchhiking needs to be re-valued as a means to an end (transportation and self-education) and as an end in itself (as suggested by Jack London's wonderful paragraphs quoted at the top of p. 35).""This is a source book, not just a casual handbook, and by its appeal to a long tradition it gives hitchhiking well-deserved stature. People have been hitchhiking since the first vehicle - probably a raft - was invented.Odysseus hitchhiked, St. Paul hitchhiked; anyone who hitchhikes today is keeping alive an ancient and honorable tradition and your book will help readers put modern hitchhiking into its particularly American context."Prof. Daniel H. GarrisonDepartment of Classics, Northwestern University -Presenter of a lecture that students refer to as "Hitchhiking as an Art Form."

Synopsis Dreams That Can Save Your Life by : Larry Burk
An exploration of dreams as a spiritual source of healing and inner guidance for your health and well-being • 2018 Nautilus Silver Award • Shares stories--confirmed by pathology reports--from subjects in medical research projects whose dreams diagnosed illness and helped heal their lives • Explores medical studies and ongoing research on the diagnostic power of precognitive dreams, including Dr. Burk’s own medical research • Includes an introduction to dream journaling and interpretation techniques Your dreams can provide inner guidance filled with life-saving information. Since ancient Egypt and Greece, people have relied on the art of dreaming to diagnose illness and get answers to personal life challenges. Now, dreams are making a grand reappearance in the medical arena as recent scientific research and medical pathology reports validate the diagnostic abilities of precognitive dreams. Are we stepping back into the future as modern medical tests show dreams can be early warning signs of cancer and other diseases? Showcasing the important role of dreams and their power to detect and heal illness, Dr. Larry Burk and Kathleen O’Keefe-Kanavos share amazing research and true stories of physical and emotional healings triggered by dreams. The authors explore medical studies and ongoing research on the diagnostic power of precognitive dreams, including Dr. Burk’s own research on dreams that come true and can be medically validated. They share detailed stories--all confirmed by pathology reports--from subjects in medical research projects whose dreams diagnosed illness and helped heal their lives, including Kathleen’s own story as a three-time breast cancer survivor whose dreams diagnosed her cancer even when it was missed by her doctors. Alongside these stories of survival and faith, the authors also include an introduction to dream journaling and interpretation, allowing the reader to develop trust in their dreams as a spiritual source of healing and inner guidance.
