Synopsis A U G U R I E S by : Michael D. O’Kelly

Our world-planet is changing so fast! Amazons expanded its Robot Army from 1400 in 2013 to 45,000 in 2016. Climates changing faster than deniers denials. In the USA, 1 in 3 people are NONES in religious affiliation versus 1 in 10 thirty years ago. The Moores Law of computer chip speed says well be computing-connecting in 2025 64 times faster than 4 years ago. The New Age of Universal Quantum Computers will manifest patterns of data at depths of complexity that will transform humanity. Plans to colonize Mars are underway. Facebook plans to make our brains telepathic. Terrorism is daily. The deep personal touch of self with selves and selves with nature is vulnerable to confusion. Our spiritual world is under siege. Gateways and breakthroughs to demanding futures need new bridging-infrastructure-covenanting designs. AUGURIES promotes an (not the) ANSWeR to A NEW SPIRITUALITY WE ARE. It gardens depths of backyard covenanting with chip-digital cybernetics living next door. Transformative sciences are everywhere: chips for the bods and syncs for the bots. Book I of this Trilogy-ALTARPIECES, was a sound book of the primal-sound Ah to AHHH! to AUM and to Apokstrophes. Book II, SYMPATHIES, was an Aoide song and prayer2player book of things coming into themselves by belonging together and the enchoiring of sympathies. Book III, AUGURIES, tells ATALE of performance and palindromes: strategies of covenantal existence. Its big play is futuring humanitys global based spirituality. (Not as a religion!) This is known: we are on this planet, without a master-key to the mystery. There are patterns-forms-resonances that orientaugur --- us to be in the world as the humans we are. Auguries explores three primal laws of existence: Predation and Procreation (everywhere theres anything); the third is The Prosperoion -- our uniquely human-Eartharion play of consciousness and will-to-prosper-- which forms the CORE dynamic of Book III. This picture is the author as a Prospero of today. Staffs a walking-stick; robes a vest and hat: books an old volume of Shakespeare with some poems inserted: In times To Come(I), In The Shining(II);Guest With Me(G).] The bridge, as rainbow and skeleton, symbolizes the concept of covenantal infrastructure. Hes answering a call, from anywhere in the world, on his magical cell-phone. But the real magical incantation of The Prosperoion is: SHOALS of WONTSUNODI AROCKAKCORAShining Holds of Angelic Legacies--Wonders That Should Not Die--Augural Recrescendoes of Covenantal Kairos. The SHOWONAKARA! A very personal book. A Spirited Ride. Both hands on the wheel! And reins! And Mane! Auguries is about our holding-on midst Gallops of Gaia Gallimaufry (GAGA-GA). In the next WeR Generation of GENiUS we must keep our FREEDOM to dot our own i secure our own saddle. TIME TO MOUNT-UP -- THE SHOWONAKARION -- FROM AFIRADAPO

Synopsis Auguries of a Minor God by : Nidhi Zak/Aria Eipe

LONGLISTED FOR THE DYLAN THOMAS PRIZE 2022 POETRY BOOK SOCIETY RECOMMENDATION 'In Auguries of a Minor God, her outstandingdebut collection, Eipe sings of joys and wounds felt deeply under the skin' David Wheatley, Guardian Nidhi Zak/Aria Eipe's spellbinding debut poetry collection explores love and the wounds it makes. Its first half is composed of five sections, corresponding to the five arrows of Kama, the Hindu God of Love, Desire and Memory. From 'stunning' and 'paralysing' to 'killing' and 'destroying', each arrow has its own effect on some body - a very real, contemporary body - and its particular journey of love. The second is a long narrative poem, 'A is for [Arabs]', which follows a different kind of journey: a family of refugees who have fled to the West from conflict in an unspecified Middle Eastern country. With an extraordinary structure, yoking abecedarian and Fibonacci sequences, it is a skilful and intimate account of migration and exile, of home and belonging.

Synopsis Auguries of Innocence by : Patti Smith

Auguries of Innocence is the first book of poetry from Patti Smith in more than a decade. It marks a major accomplishment from a poet and performer who has inscribed her vision of our world in powerful anthems, ballads, and lyrics. In this intimate and searing collection of poems, Smith joins in that great tradition of troubadours, journeymen, wordsmiths, and artists who respond to the world around them in fresh and original language. Her influences are eclectic and striking: Blake, Rimbaud, Picasso, Arbus, and Johnny Appleseed. Smith is an American original; her poems are oracles for our times.

Synopsis Auguries of Summer by : Mel Bossa

Easy-going Sebastien divides his time between working as a cleaning technician, caring for his widowed father, and running off to the park for soccer practice. Coasting through his existence, he's convinced he doesn't have much going for him. That isn’t what his best friend Jack thinks. Quick-witted and passionate, Jack is fascinated by art and history, but the greatest book or painting could never compare to how he feels when he's alone with Sebastien. In the last five years, Seb and Jack have shared everything, sometimes even a bed. Yet though their chemistry is smoking hot, Sebastien keeps Jack at a safe distance. But when the two move in together to lower their living expenses, that distance gets smaller and smaller, until Sebastien and Jack are standing so close, they can't see what's right in front of their eyes ... the love of their life.

Synopsis Roman Republican Augury by : Lindsay G. Driediger-Murphy

Roman Republican Augury: Freedom and Control proposes a new way of understanding augury, a form of Roman state divination designed to consult the god Jupiter. Previous scholarly studies of augury have tended to focus either upon its legal-constitutional effects or upon its role in maintaining and perpetuating Roman social and political structures. This volume makes a new contribution to the study of Roman religion, politics, and cultural history by focusing instead upon what augury can tell us about how Romans understood their relationship with their gods. Augury is often thought to have told Romans what they wanted to hear. This volume argues that augury left space for perceived expressions of divine will which contradicted human wishes, and that its rules and precepts did not permit human beings to create or ignore signs at will. This analysis allows the Jupiter whom Romans approached in augury to emerge as not simply a source of power to be channelled to human ends, but a person with his own interests and desires, which did not always overlap with those of his human enquirers. When human will and divine will clashed, it was the will of Jupiter which was supposed to prevail. In theory as in practice, it was the Romans, not their supreme god, who were bound by the auguries and auspices.

Synopsis The Auguries by : F.G. Cottam

"Cottam is a masterly maven of the deeply disturbing occult. His latest may well leave you with nightmares Kirkus Reviews In the 1500s an almanac full of magic spells was put together by someone intent on bringing about The End Times. It has resurfaced and is being used indiscriminately. An unexpected lunar eclipse. A poisonous fog that cripples the capital. Statues that weep blood. As the catalogue of calamities mount, fear and paranoia provoke rumours of terrorist attacks. But from whom? History professor Juliet Harrington is an authority on sixteenth-century mysticism and a long-time believer in the existence of the Almanac of Forbidden Wisdom, a potent spell-book legend insists was compiled in that period by a cabal of powerful occultists. Its magic is summoned though only at disastrous cost, signalled by The Auguries. Juliet is convinced that the recent plague of disasters means someone reckless is using the book - and she has little time left to stop them.
