Astro Mouse is depressed. He misses his family and home. They have been drifting in space for so long they hardly remember when they last saw Earth! Light Bulb, Lamp, Astro-Chicken and the soldiers from planet Bubblegum try to cheer their friend up. Nothing works until they find a strange planet that looks like…Wait! It’s Earth! Unfortunately, Earth has changed a lot and it’s overrun with dinosaurs…Where have our space heroes landed? Are they in the past or…the future? Will Astro Mouse reunite with his family ever again?

The mighty interstellar hero Astro Mouse and his bright first mate Light Bulb took a wrong turn on their way to the Moon (to see if it was made of cheese), getting lost in space. They go to infinity and beyond trying to find their way home with the help of their adopted, sentient caca. When they land on a planet populated by powdered sugar, the space crew thinks they might just have found their new home. But a quartet of notorious no-goods vacationing there, Skunk Girl, Captain Fastidious, Arkade, and Meduso, calling themselves the Troublesome 4, might just prove problematic for the rodent and appliance super space duo.

When Pip the mouse learns that the moon is made of stinky cheese, he has a big idea - he's going to be an Astromouse! Pip makes himself a rocket out of an old funnel and some cardboard, and prepares for take-off. But blasting to the moon is harder than he thought and things don't go quite to plan. On his way home Pip sees a huge reflection of the moon in a pond. The moon has come to him! As he reaches down to break off a piece of stinky cheese, the eyes of a large frog appear and a frightened Pip runs all the way back home. He decides the moon is far too scary for a mouse, and he'd much rather live with his mom instead.
