Synopsis Areeya Metaya by : Thatree Pokavanich

Becoming Areeya Metaya, the Civilisation of Love “Areeya Metaya” is a psychological and philosophical science novel that talks about spirituality and logically explains the different theories of cosmology. For thousands of years, religion and science have taken conflicting approaches and concepts on discussions relating to physical aspects such as the birth of all things, the origin of human beings and animals, the cosmos and the universe, or about energy, for example, the existence of spirits and ghosts, heaven and hell, angels and gods, and so on. The latter concepts are especially considered absurd in the eyes of many scientists. What you are about to read in this book is an attempt to integrate all this knowledge into one concept. It is a confluence of science and religion, the physical and the spiritual. You will learn about the secret mechanisms that created the earth, the cosmos, and the universe, and most importantly, how the system moves and exists. All this knowledge is written down and explained in the form of a novel so that everyone can understand it easily. What if, by chance, you stepped into an interplanetary portal that transported you to another parallel world, a planet that is so similar to Earth but one where its inhabitants could telepathically read thought waves? How would you interact with these friendly beings – including your soulmate – that you meet along your journey in this parallel world who kindly share with you their way of life, history, and civilisation of love? What if you had to make a choice between living the rest of your life with your newly-found happiness in this parallel world, or giving everything up (including your soulmate) and returning to Earth with a mission to tell mankind the actions they must take to avoid the destruction of their own world and their own species? Areeya Metaya, The Journey to Meeting God is written by Thatree Pokavanich, a graduate of Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Arts majoring in Painting. His initial goal was to be a recognised artist but since his love of drawing small animals and nature was too niche to be widely sold, he channeled his creative energy into being a full-time graphics designer. He loves a good story and can be spellbound by every movie he watches, even if it has been viewed more than once. From the Author Never in my life have I ever considered writing a book but a strange inner voice in my head kept on telling me many times to write this story. And many times, I have queried “why me?” I have wrestled with that voice for quite a long time since I was convinced that I have little writing skills if any at all. But that voice continued to persuade that I put pen to paper because the story would be published in dozens of languages so that others across the world, upon reading it, would feel inspired and find answers to their lives.Haha ha, I just laughed at that inner voice, and at the thought planted in my head which seemed very amusing. However, after much pestering, I finally yielded to the call. So here it is: a novel that I'm sure was driven by an unknown force that is looking out for humankind. “Areeya Metaya” is a psychological and philosophical science novel that talks about spirituality and logically explains the different theories of cosmology. Synopsis The Littlest Bigfoot by : Jennifer Weiner

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner comes a “cheerful” (The New York Times Book Review) and “charming” (People) tale of friendship, furry creatures, and finding the place where you belong. Alice Mayfair, twelve years old, slips through the world unseen and unnoticed. Ignored by her family and shipped off to her eighth boarding school, Alice would like a friend. And when she rescues Millie Maximus from drowning in a lake one day, she finds one. But Millie is a Bigfoot, part of a clan who dwells deep in the woods. Most Bigfoots believe that people—NoFurs, as they call them—are dangerous, yet Millie is fascinated with the No-Fur world. She is convinced that humans will appreciate all the things about her that her Bigfoot tribe does not: her fearless nature, her lovely singing voice, and her desire to be a star. Alice swears to protect Millie’s secret. But a league of Bigfoot hunters is on their trail, led by a lonely kid named Jeremy. And in order to survive, Alice and Millie have to put their trust in each other—and have faith in themselves—above all else.

Synopsis Emotional Inheritance by : Galit Atlas

Award-winning psychoanalyst Dr. Galit Atlas draws on her patients' stories—and her own life experiences—to shed light on how generational trauma affects our lives in this "intimate, textured, compassionate" book (Jon Kabat-Zinn, author of The Healing Power of Mindfulness). The people we love and those who raised us live inside us; we experience their emotional pain, we dream their memories, and these things shape our lives in ways we don’t always recognize. Emotional Inheritance is about family secrets that keep us from living to our full potential, create gaps between what we want for ourselves and what we are able to have, and haunt us like ghosts. In this transformative book, Galit Atlas entwines the stories of her patients, her own stories, and decades of research to help us identify the links between our life struggles and the “emotional inheritance” we all carry. For it is only by following the traces those ghosts leave that we can truly change our destiny.

Synopsis When I'm Gone, Look for Me in the East by : Quan Barry

From the acclaimed author of We Ride Upon Sticks comes a luminous novel that moves across a windswept Mongolia, as estranged twin brothers make a journey of duty, conflict, and renewed understanding. Tasked with finding the reincarnation of a great lama—a spiritual teacher who may have been born anywhere in the vast Mongolian landscape—the young monk Chuluun sets out with his identical twin, Mun, who has rejected the monastic life they once shared. Their relationship will be tested on this journey through their homeland as each possesses the ability to hear the other’s thoughts. Proving once again that she is a writer of immense range and imagination, Quan Barry carries us across a terrain as unforgiving as it is beautiful and culturally varied, from the western Altai mountains to the eerie starkness of the Gobi Desert to the ancient capital of Chinggis Khaan. As their country stretches before them, questions of faith—along with more earthly matters of love and brotherhood—haunt the twins. Are our lives our own, or do we belong to something larger? When I’m Gone, Look for Me in the East is a stunningly far-flung examination of our individual struggle to retain our convictions and discover meaning in a fast-changing world, as well as a meditation on accepting what simply is.
